My LG is just over 5 months and when I started having periods again they were crazy heavy. In the end at the advise of my dr I went on the pill they also said if I didn’t want to I didn’t have to take a break. So I started the pill towards the end of August and this month I decided to not have a break because I could simply do with a break from my period after how heavy it has been but I have come on and it’s not just spotting it’s like a proper period and it’s been going for over a week even though I’m still taking the pill.......any ideas?

I'm in the same boat as you... I been taking the pill now for 3 months to help my period and the whole time I've been taking it I've been bleeding if I'm honest I've been a lot worse while taking the pill than what I was when I wasnt ..... my doctor told me you will have a bit of a bleed when you start taking it but mine just wont stop.... it's worth going to your gp and see what they say.... it ain't the nicest thing to have when you just want a break from bleeding.... hope you get it sorted xx
Thanks it’s just crazy don’t get me wrong it’s lighter than it was but it’s lasting crazy amount of time and the pill is meant to stop all that I’ve stopped taking it now don’t want to put something in my body that’s not doing what it’s meant to but will see what gp says
I’m 7 months pp and went back on the pill at 8 weeks, had my 1st bleed 2 weeks later. I am still having 2 bleeds a month, 1st is light but bad headaches, next bleed is about 2 weeks after the start of 2st which is heavy and bad cramps.
This month was an odd 1 though as my 2nd bleed lasted 2/3 days and didn’t get any cramps, so I’m hoping that they are starting to equal out.
I have heard some people say that they periods never return normally x
