Just turned 12 weeks

Hi I’m expecting my 2nd baby, we have just found out, I had my booking appointment yesterday but when I asked the midwife if I would have my scan nx week she said it wouldn’t happen, I. Just concerned I won’t get it before 14 weeks. Any advise would be grateful. Thankyou

If you’ve asked for the blood tests for Down syndrome they have to be done before 14 weeks at your 12w scan app

You will definitely get it before 14 weeks - you have to. I had mine at 13 and 6! Just get in touch with the midwife team again. I mean it was great being able to tell everyone when i was properly in the second trimester... so after all the worrying I was actually glad to have mine so late. Best of luck. Hi thankyou any idea how long in advance they send the appointment letter I know it’s different for each hospital. Think I’m just anxious as we found out so late this time round. I think we may have to tell close family as my parents have a birthday party nx Saturday so I have to find excuses not to drink.
