Hi, I think if you are worried its best to speak to you midwife on this one, but the supplement I'm taking Sanatogen mum to be and it has 100% of your rda of iron, 27% magnesium, and 21% calcium in and I have been taking these throughout my current pregnancy.
I hope this helps a little bit x
In This country that is what they recommend if u want look on holland and barratt website its a health food shop that does all vitamins and minerals... also have u looked at pregnacare? X
First of all it is advisable to have a blood test done in order to figure out your level of deficiency and the right dose of any supplements you need. For example iron supplements are dangerous to be taken during pregnancy without medical supervision. Also the "fragility" of your bones may have to do with other factors such as vitamin D deficiency. So first of all you need a proper diagnosis. Talk to your doctor! In the meantime aim to have 3 servings of dairy a day (1 serving= 1 glass of milk or 40gr of cheese or 1 pot of yogurt) to cover your calcium needs. Magnesium deficiency is extremely rare and you would have been extremely sick if indeed you were suffering from it e.g. you would have had neural problems.
