Enjoy life while you can, Don! My wife, too, has diabetes, but she occasionally has her Jersey Milk bar, or Coffee Crisp bar! I prefer dark chocolate Milky Way bars! Now, I’m going to have to take care of my chocolate fix, because I am a chocoholic! Ha!

Yes, my dad used to like that.It was frys five centre.I think it was milk chocolate rather than the dark chocolate in the plain frys.I normally share one every saturday when watching strictly with my daughter.

I love all chocolate but dark chocolate covered Brazil nut are my favourite - They don't last long though.

Mine's one that doesn't exist any more wiserlady. It's the old Cadbury's Milk Tray probably dating back to the 1950s and 60s. What a luxury those were. That's where the origin of 'chocolate box pretty' came from, because each box lid came with a picture of a thatched cottage, flowers etc., and a big bow. The lid slipped off entirely revealing luxurious packaging and underneath a treasure trove of pretty chocolates, each beautifully decorated and some with little edible flowers.Of course chocolate was much more of a treat then. We were just seeing it again after WW2, so it wasn't cheap and it only appeared at Christmas, Easter and birthdays. To buy a box during the rationing of the early 1950s took a lot of coupons!

Nowadays it's hard to tell whether you are eating chocolate or processed cheese in my opinion! 🤣

I remember the boxes of chocolates with the beautiful photos of cottages etc but not the chocolates being beautiful , also remember you could get a bar of chocolate that was all milk tray chocolates stuck together, its a shame they stopped making it

in reply towiserlady

Oh yes wiserlady! I’d forgotten those bars. I also remember a range of loose chocs that Cadbury made for sale in sweet shops called Lucky Numbers. I remember those tasting great too! 😀

Hello wiserlady

I am not a big chocolate eater, but I would not pass up a Heath toffee bar or a Seven Up bar. I don't worry about the Seven Up bars any more, as they are no longer made. :)

Russel Stover's Nut and Caramels or Merci dark chocolate.

Snickers 😉

See's Nuts and Chews! I am ashamed to say that a one pound box does not last more than a day in my home... and I basically live alone 😬
