There's also Owen Money's Solid Gold Sundays from 11-1pm UK. Classic hits from the 60s and 70s. I record both programmes and it's my getting out of bed and get going music for the week
Yes it's great music, and the care home visits are really funny sometimes ,when he gets the residents to sing along Owen is very well known here in Wales, he used to be in Pantomine for years and toured all the clubs with his band.
Do you live in Wales ?
I also love Ken Bruce every morning and always do the Pop master quiz.
I used to live in North Wales and I used to stay with a friend in South Wales who said he once saw Owen in Asda carpark but he didn't get me his autograph!
I wouldn't miss Owen Money's Saturday and Sunday morning programmes. He is a natural comedian and so good with people. His knowledge of the's, 60's and 70's music is second to none as is his choice of music. Cheers, Cx
I'm a bit of a radio 4 buff, know the schedule off by heart...sad I know but there's so many interesting programmes and found 'More or Less' fantastic during the height of the pandemic as there were so many facts and figures flying around I didn't know what to think.Listen to radio 2 in the car. I've not heard of Owen's prog and will look into it!
When I listen to the radio, which isn't that often now, I like Ken Bruce on Radio 2, Johnny Walker Sounds of the 70s although unlike MB, I was a teenager in the 60s and I used to like Planet Rock which was on a great deal here but have gone off of that quite a lot now.
