Good morning wiserlady..... I live in the Uk, and I enjoy watching programmes by Micheal Palin, such as.... Around the World in 80 days...... Pole to Pole..... they show how different nations around the globe live, its a travelogue.

Hoping you are well..... have a nice day! 😀🌈

Hi there, I saw a programme by Michael Palin recently and it was very good. I suppose when we are stuck indoors all of the time due to being disabled or the lock down its a way to be part of the outside world, and not feel so reclusive and left out. Have a nice day.

Hi, It took a bit of thought but I like a good spy or thriller type film. I also enjoy documentaries like the one on channel five the past three evenings...The Great Plague or David Attenborough programmes. How about you?

Hi, I love the old Coronation Streets shown mid pm, and a good horror, thriller, drama or documentary.

Hi I like not going out a romantic comedy type series on a Saturday night it's really funny I'm hoping they do a new series as there repeats xx

Have seen that a few times it is good, makes a change from all of the violence and swearing.

Hi wiserlady, I have lots of favourites and I can't decide between any of Lucy Worsley's history programmes and David Olusoga's 'A House Through Time'. I guess you can tell I'm a history lover and any program that tells it in an interesting and fresh way is tops by me! 👍😊

Not seen any of them will watch out for it.

Yes I really like Lucy Worsley. I too like history programmes- if they're well presented . I really dislike the ones where they have some mimed action sequences accompanying a narrative. I much prefer ones where you see actual locations, artefacts etc presented by an engaging, knowledgeable person like LW.

I really like the Great British Sewing Bee. I'm a keen crafter and used to make my own clothes. I also like Midsummer Murders. Not great drama and somewhat far fetched.Even though I've seen them loads of times I can't always remember 'whodunnit'😊. I love the Italian Inspector Montalbano series- fantastic scenery and I love Italy!

Agree with you on Midsommer murders, it is far fetched, but like Bergerac best, not the other one. The Italian thing is beautiful scenery and sort of relaxing. We often watch things which are on BBC4 saturday evening, different dramas from different countries.

I can understand a bit of Italian so I try to follow it. It is hard work though- watching, listening, and reading the subtitles. Although I'm glad they don't overdub in English as it would spoil the Italian 'essence' for me. I find MM a bit of light relief- something to watch while I'm knitting😊Like you I like the old Corries.

what did you think of the latest story in corrie with Liz McDonald and Frazer?

MadBunny profile image
MadBunny in reply to wiserlady

Not keen. It seemed to be moving towards the type of storyline we get today. I never saw that storyline originally. There was a time when for some reason I didn't watch Corrie.

I’m not into “soaps” at all, but MM, poirot, etc....... dislike movies and dramas where actors have mobile phoned stuck in their ears..... bring on agatha christie anytime.... and historical programmes.....oh! And Return to the Chathue!

I also like Father Brown when it's on. Nothing violent or unpleasant about it, just a nice gentle programme. As well as the storylines, I love looking at the scenery and period costumes.

a good mix

the new story line reminded me more of Bad Girls, but I still preferred it and the way they did it to the modern one

I love anything about Egyptology, also animals (All Creatures Great and Small), Holby City and recently we have been watching catch-up on the Our Yorkshire Farm which we have enjoyed. Also the programmes Devon and Cornwall we found really interesting.

My favourite TV programme (has been for as long as I can remember) , way out in front of everything else on TV is ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. I do love history. I also watch the TV channel of the year - Channel 5, and BBC Channel 4, which on a Friday evening is full of music of all genres which I love. Keep well. x

No I don't. Apart from what I posted - I watch a lot of YouTube, because it has everything you could wish for - it's a bit like Google - whatever you want to know or follow - it's there. :-)

Hi. I gave up watching TV entirely just over a year ago, as I found out that it was aggravating certain problems with my brain injury. I watched a lot of TV before that but, strangely enough, I haven't missed it at all. My favourite programme is The X-Files, but it's more of an obsession with me. It helped me through a terrible time in my life and not only have I learned a lot from it, I have found it extremely inspirational. I met the series creator Chris Carter once, and thanked him for the programme.

🙂🌸
