Snow spots a bird through the window

Snow chirps like a bird when he sees one, it's a sound he never makes usualy.... It's like he's calling to them.... He's such a gentle cat, he doesn't have the killer instinct..... He catches flies with his paws. But never eats them, he just let's them go.... His favorite pass time is being enchanted watching his fish swim in the tank. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

We call it chittering and all my cats have done it when watching birds along with some cute vocalizations. He’s a lovely boy and that’s a beautiful picture. You should frame it!

Cats have such a range of vocalisations. I have 2 cats and they talk to eachother in an entirely different language to the meows we are familiar with, which apparently is an evolution used just to communicate with humans. Chittering is a wonderful word... Isn't it the sweetest sound? Unless you have cats you don't realise what a huge variety of sounds they make.

That's kind of you to say you like the photograph... I'm fortunate both my cats are very photogenic. So taking pictures of them is easy. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

Hey, thanks.... Snow is wonderful to photograph, he's so photogenic..... Although being so white he's reflective and picks uo the colour of any near him.. So becomes a yellow or orange.. Next to the fish tank he looks pink or blue, and at night when I'm ready to sleep and just have the TV on he transforms becoming whatever colour is in the screen, usualy a bright blue.... I will post a bed time picture to show his transformation.. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

Thank you... He's a very happy little fellow. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

Oh I really recognise that look Boyshape! I live with a real hunter who is merciless to prey. (But lives indoors so most of them are toy-shaped). What an absolutely stunning picture of him too. An amazing shot which really captures how intent he is!

Snow is an indoor cat too..... And still so playful. He believes he's still a kitten, though his favorite toys are hairbands, I had to buy him a pack, he prefers the red ones... He carries them around in his mouth and makes little collections of trinkets in the night... I never know what he's going to have hoarded or where I'm going to find them when I wake in the morning. πŸ˜‚πŸ€

How sweet Boyshape, and maybe that's another idea for a toy for Kasar. He does tend to go for threads on anything, so this might interest him too! Snow must be a real joy to you! πŸ‘πŸ˜Ί

Snow is such a joy.. A real delight.. He never fails to make me smile. Yes try hairbands. They are snows absolute favorite.. Funny how he prefers the red ones. The rest rarely get a look in.

Oh thank you... He is such a gentle soul... He always has such a look of contentment and wonder in his eyes. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

It's that he is spoilt that he doesn't catch birds same as our ginger tabby baby!

You have lucky cats. I'm sure they are much loved. It's hard not to give cats just what they want. They can be so very persuasive

What a majestic photo of your Snow! Lovely that he is so photogenic and focused on "communicating" with the birds through the window!

Precious "visits" and "calls" to our birds at the bird feeders from her perch on the cat tree in front of the picture window. Funny to watch her paw at the window when squirrels appear below the feeders. Is she scolding them??? Smiles

Thank you.... Snow is a real dreamer, I'd love to dissappear inside his head for a mindful moment... Especialy when he's paying such attention, either to the birds or the fish I have in the tank. He looses himself for hours watching them swim around... Precious sounds wonderful, the cat vocabulary can be so varied.... I'm unsure what mine would do should they see a squirrel.... Precious sounds as if she is unsure they should be steeling the birds breakfast.... Or perhaps frustrated she can't see them off. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€
