Funny you should say that. I was thinking the same, as it was the first item on the radio news just now. They even had a fan ranting on about how disgraceful the new plans were ! As well as wars and other atrocities happening , we still have covid to deal with. I have no objection to football and sport, but the lead story ???
Quite agree with you, news should be about important aspects of peoples' lives
This is just an example of greedy businessmen's ambitions to get more money to the detriment of enjoyment by the fans

After the recent 10 days i have nothing but respect for the monarchy,and am interested in the Windsor's far more than in. football.
And in wars raging round the planet too obviously! I am far more interested in football myself. Just as well we are all different isn't it?

Hi off track a bit what gets me when there's matches on they take off the soaps like Corrie which so many look forward to I may be a bit sad but I look forward to 7 Emmerdale farm and Corrie when it's rubbish like lately I end up on here I'm off in garden now then see mam pixies waiting for me to move 🌞🐯

Yes me too Curly. I don't watch the soaps any more but do like my game shows so was gutted when they took them off.
I love football but can't stand the racing and they take them off for that too which makes me grumpy! I know though there are lots of people (especially men) who do follow it so I guess you can't please everyone all the time. x

I am finding other things to watch too I like George Clarke's amazing spaces and house in the country property stuff I'm often running late and sit down to watch soaps late so watch on repeat 33 Ch i used to like live at appollo comedians but it's on late have a good day xx

I don't watch most of the modern programmes but did love Poldark. I tend to watch things like the Ghost Whisperer and NCIS. I also love the repeats of Can't Pay We Will Take it Away and serial killers. Or unexplained mysteries. I also love fact based history shows and archeology.etc. As well as the game shows of course!
Each to their own and as long as w are happy then that's fine. x

My mam likes documentaries about aliens and the pyramids and stuff like that that they came down and cloned put there seed in us as we were then I'm just looking at plants they need to go in but scared of frost

I’ve seen those documentaries on the alien theory. It’s really interesting, but they could have done a better job on manipulating DNA for more empathy. Thanks a lot, dudes. 🥴😁

Lol do you remember space 1999 where the humans left earth as it was no longer habitable and the built a spaceship domb like a greenhouse a lot of these sci go films come true almost like predictions 🤔😁

luckily i never watch Soaps,and must be the only one who's never watched Coronation Street or Eastenders.....but i do like documentary's ...wildlife/history/homes.
There isn't much football on mainstream TV these days. Most of it is on Sky/ BT neither of which I have.

I wish they still did football pools my grandad mam won the pools I just have premium bonds don't do lottery at least be big of Intretest in the constant footy talk on TV, yawn yawn for me 🙄😁

Yes I remember the pools. Dad used to do them every week and on Saturday afternoons when the results came on we had to be completely silent - we were in big trouble if we made any noise!
I can remember our neighbour coming into our house to fill in the form on a Saturday afternoon, everyone was silent, we all knew that shortly after the pools and the wrestling had been on, the ice cream van would arrive😋
Oh yes. The wrestling. Happy days😁

Yes!!! Do you remember Ricky Starr in his ballet shoes? One of the art teachers I worked with looked like him and he had a poster on his studio wall. He convinced the kids that it was him 😁

Nah! the footballers are more interested in deodorant, hair shampoo, wage increases, various displays when they score a goal. they love swearing at VAR decisions, practically crying if they fall over? The retired footballers love seeing themselves on ancient replays and groaning when they hear how much their 'equals' are being paid today! No "biting of your legs!" not a mans game at all!🥴😆

Here here say no to footy actually the reason men some ladies thrive on it as it's kinda like war as us humans don't go to war now well not so much it's all about releasing agresshion and winning like a trible thing, I can't explain properly I'm tired now xx

I agree wholeheartedly, a sad indictment of of what society deems important and prioritises. Never mind the pandemic is still killing thousands across the world and climate change is endangering the planet, as long materialism is alive and well😔I really believed we would come out of this awful situation with a better perspective of what is truly important for the planet and society as whole. How naive was that.

Oh heck good luck my sister's has sliding doors I banged my hand when not used to it when closed it inside still pref ordinary doors not sure what sort would be ok for you well I must stop checking back on here lol been tidying up last night's planting mess getting organised to take some to mam's renew side of a planter and put some in to store in her greenhouse have I already said this lol maby to someone else hahaha 💐🌞
