I have just enjoyed an early walk out and a cooked breakfast myself!

Do the dogs eat cake?

Years ago I worked at a bakery and they let you take home cakes and things that were left over and the line manager had 2 dogs and she would give them cake which was spoilt!

Nothing to lose by trying and asking!

I would rather be how I am regretting doing things and trying like many years ago when I worked as a catering assistant in a university kitchen I had asked the line manager about getting more involved with the kitchen side of things and was told no and at the time I was devastated.

Nowadays I am like I would rather try and regret trying than sitting at home crying regretting not trying when I had the chance and wondering what might have been.

Worst they can say is no they don't need anyone!

Best of luck in asking!

Hi Im not if cafe open I am undecided as usual I will leave it for now I have a bad knee and my other job passenger assistant was easy on my knee I would like to enjoy summer with mam going out on our electric bikes if I can get one today offerred hopefully, well it's been such a curtailed year need to make the most of nice weather may be mam's last summer last year has been very stressful for her I have noticed changes with other elderly people 2 bungalows becoming empty it's been really hard for people that live on there own especially I feel, some elderly folk don't even have pets xx

Maybe we should consider emigration to Tonga, where we will be appreciated Roddy! And flippant thought that is, leaving aside considerations of health, why can't we be just the shape we want to be? And we have earned ours through what we are choosing to eat. The connection with our heads and well-being and overeating are still not properly understood or addressed by anyone, and I find dieticians are the worst people in the world in understanding it.

If we don't like the result of overeating we can always change our eating habits and/or exercise more but I don't understand why people put themselves through so much pain and deprivation to conform to a shape or look which society approves of. When I lived in the Caribbean I was often one of the smallest people in a room. On coming home I was immediately one of the largest. Who's right then? What is beauty? Health is another matter and I would encourage anyone worried by their size to take advice on losing excess weight, but goodness me, not to fit an ideal.Strange about the cake too as around that time last night I was doing exactly the same. Only.... mine was only half defrosted as I couldn't even wait until it thawed properly to get my teeth into it, so don't feel too badly about yourself! 🀣

My view about places like weight watchers and slimming world is that they are like putting plasters on deep wounds as they don't address the psychological elements of weight and eating.

Hahahaaaaaaaaa! Roddy, I was about to say the same as Sue! Best we all emigrate to Tonga! Think of the sunshine and beaches (she says looking out at the snow falling!), plenty of opportunity to show our bellies off!! I too, have become obsessed, not with the eating as much, but cooking and especially baking! I have even bought myself a breadmaker which has been running almost continuously since I bought it!! The family and my friends are very happy! Me? I hardly ever eat bread!!Anyway, you need Victoria sponge to help with all the sorting out you've got going on!

Have a great day, Laurie xx

I was bereaved and disabled in 2016, and my weight got up to 19Β½ stone... but since then I have lost 5Β½ and got fitter - I now walk at least 5km a day.

Vegetarians sasage meat mushroom.tom

Do what you feel is right for you is how I do things nowadays as I have found most of my decisions are made on instinct!

Its not as simple as what's right for one person should be right for all as we are all different!

I'm lying here suffering heartburn, just can't keep away from foods I know will cause it, feeling bloated. It was a nice morning and was too lazy to go walk dog, now it's pouring rain, oh Monday blues or something! WAAH! Just letting you know you're not alone

I once stood in the queue, to board a little 10 seater plane, in Fiji, I had not realised they would weigh me as well as the bag. I was mortified when the weighing in clerk just yelled my weight down to the seat allocator. Behind me, a very large Fijian gentleman in police uniform (bet he played Rugby 7's for them) grinned at this sensitive Brit, and said I had good childbearing hips, more than most of us did. Never could work out if I should feel complemented or not.

mmmmm, was in my early 20's, much more sensitive then, coming up to 70 now, much shorter but little else changed. Preferred his comments to the ones from my contemporaries at college, things like chunky and stocky. I was never sensitive enough to give up chocolate, chips and roast potatoes.
