The gym I go to is doing really well as there is sanitiser spray all around the gym with plenty of paper towel. Everyone that uses the gym is using the spray to wash down the equipment after they've used it.
I hope this helps.π

Yes I have and thank you. I'm taking Alflorex probiotics but unfortunately they arent helping at all. I started the low fodmap diet in January and felt much better but now I've introduced more foods I'm getting setbacks, I'm contemplating going back on the low fodmap diet from the beginning and sticking with that. I shall have a look at Quota Digest thank you.
I've also got skin problems.
Thank you so much for your very helpful response.

Hello it was on Quora digest sorry my smart phone typing is dodgy sometimes lol it seems to change the spelling often wrongly π€it was a video they sent me I will try and find it on my email and give you the article to look up I was shocked as I'm worried my colon may get damaged if I carry on eating as I am just about everything now and peppers were mentioned as one of the foods that when digested and turned to waiste things with spikes rip our intestine and so leak into our system, a nurse told me about a book called all about the gut I have yet to read it. I just thought as you had not always had I b s and mentioned skin problems this may be related, as I am now 56 I am more concerned about looking after my body colon brain heart especially and as this specialist said it's the gut that has caused so many problems, people in other countries he researched had different ways of living some drank smoked and were healthy and living long because they had good gut health I did make a note of some foods, but sometimes you can read something else and it contradicts he said walnuts are good but then I read somewhere there bad, so as I mentioned I am doing more reasearch, I practically starved myself to get my colon heeled before I had cabbage water chamomile tea healing things by the time I got to see the medication specialist my colon had heeled no ulcers or bleeding the test showed it was stil a bit thin the protective mucosa lining but I'm sure now it must be normal after 6 years, I had eat a lot of extra mature cheddar before my colitis hence bacteria, I'm just off for my walk enjoy your day πππ
Glad to hear you had a good workout day today, but sorry to hear it was tougher than normal.
I have adapted my own exercise challenge to be slightly less 'challenging' - as I realise I need rest days inbetween - and now I've re-worked my pattern to allow myself some slack.
So I'm being kind to myself, and I hope you'll be kind to yourself too. Wishing you the best for the week ahead.
I started to feel very nauseous and discovered after months it was due to taking organic probiotic natural yoghurt twice a day. Always had it on porridge but on the days I had an egg for breakfast I felt fine. Hubby worked it out (not me or dietician or Dr) and since then no sickness at all. Stopped milk in coffee and changed to oat or soya milk in small doses. Stick with Fodmap.. My son does as he has IBS. I now try to vary diet more and change foods every day so as not to build up a reaction. Good luck Alicia.
Thank you Diana and that's very interesting to hear as I take probiotics every day which, I have to say, are expensive. I have no benefit from them whatsoever and now you've replied I'm wondering if they are the cause. I'm so glad your hubby worked it out for you.
I've been drinking oat milk for months now, I'm a Vegan, and have had no issue with the milk. It does seem to be since taking the probiotics that I've been worse. I'm definitely sticking to low fodmap as it does work.
Thank you Diana. I went Vegan for my health and was doing really well until a bout if food poisoning from a shop bought lunch pot, it was a treat as well as I make my own food 99% of the time.
Yes it isn't good at times but on the bright side since following the low fodmap diet it's heaps better, just the odd flare up now rather than every day.
Most of us are on HU because we have conditions and isn't it great to see the support we give each other.
Thank you and I was pleased to have done a workout.
Thank you. I take Alflorex and unfortunately they don't work with me but the low fodmap has worked really well, I'm just going back to the beginning and not eating high fodmap foods.
Thank youπ

Hi
I'm sorry you've not been good re IBS. A friend of mine was telling me her. dad used to have a tablespoon of natural yoghurt before each meal, it didn't work for me but it could have worked for other people. I'm just an awkward customer xxxxππππππβ€οΈ

Thank you Lynne. I'm wracking my brains as to what it could be. I'm taking probiotics but can't see it's those as I've been taking them for about 9 weeks now and the nausea has been going on since around 1.5 weeks. I take Nettle capsules but can't see it's those either after researching on the internet.
It's funny that some things work for some people but not others.
Ah well at least it's not stopping me doing things which is good.
Good morning sister/warrior . Sorry for the late response I have been busy, and and now trying to catch up on old e-mails. I used to have horrible acid reflux, and I remember eating tums like they were a candy I couldn't get enough of . Back then I would sleep in a sitting position to keep from bringing my food up . If I ate out I would have to sit still for at least an hour after my last bite of food . Eventually I started removing everything from my diet that was acidic or would caused acid build up, and I eventually purchased a book called Bloodtype Diet by author Joseph Christiano, and found some foods, and beverages that I didn't even know were acidic including water . Everything I eat , and drink now is alkalized I no longer have any gut problems. I take a Combo pill daily of a ( high dose ) Probiotic,/ (Prebiotic capsule . I thank GOD that acid reflux is no longer a thorn in my side (stomach) .
It doesn't matter, there's no time frame, I've seen posts and not replied for quite a while.
I was in a sitting position a couple of nights ago.
I've seen the blood type diet and never really thought about trying it. I also never thought of water as acid. I take probiotics but they don't seem to have made things any different. I follow the low fodmap diet and that did improve things a great deal, I think it was reintroducing food that made me bad again.
I'm not too bad at present which is good.
I'm so so pleased you're okay now and the Blood Type diet worked.πππ
Okay I take the( strongest) unit of Probiotic/Prebiotic combo capsule. I don't take just a Probiotic. There is a difference. Sister/warrior I hope you eliminate the foods that are giving you the intermittent problems.
I take Alflorex which is one that is recommended for IBS. Ah now I only take the probiotic, not a pre biotic as well. I know there's a difference but I never thought of taking both. Thank you and really appreciate your supportπππ
