Happy Thursday! I have to admit, I am not in the greatest mood today with London facing greater restrictions this weekend. I am happy to stay out of public places to curb infections, but I really rely on seeing close friends and family to get me through the week. We will see how it all turns out..
I attempted this chocolate hazelnut cheesecake that I found at bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/no-... as part of chocolate week on Great British Bake Off. It was very easy to make as it requires no baking in the oven. The recipe said it would set in 6 hours, which definitely wasn't the case, so I left it to set overnight and it turned out a lot better. It's definitely an indulgent treat that is very welcome in our house this week!
Next week my husband will be attempting a pastry recipe for pastry week!
What are you all cooking or eating this week? I hope everyone is having a good day and looking forward to the weekend, whatever it may bring. Take care!

This week I have been busy on the cooking front and tonight's dinner is sausage and sweet potato mash.
Last nights dinner was salmon, baked potato and sweet potato mash.
I remember last month when there were whispers about the local lockdowns which meant autumn plans had to be out on hold and I was so angry that I cried!
Commiserations on the extra restrictions SadieHU. think we're all a little battle weary right now. But if anything can cheer us up it's good food and some naughty treats and I have to say this cheesecake would make the bleakest day do-able!
I've just got some belly pork slices simmering away in my slow cooker, later, hopefully to be converted later into some wondrous pulled pork!
