I have emailed my local health authority about getting a change of consultant for my husband, Michael. We desperately need to get a second opinion. I have to say that the health authority have been very quick to respond to my email. I have been informed that I can attend a meeting between the director of the board, plus Michael's consultant psychiatrist and community psychiatric nurse. If we cannot come to an arrangement, the board will then consider a change of consultant. I am now waiting to hear about a date and time, for this meeting this week.
