Update on my scam

Hi everyone, just a update on what happened, the National fraud team got in touch with me yesterday and told me basically I have been cloned and these fraudsters will try and use my details to try and get loans etc so they told me to get my phone checked over and change my passport and wait for a new bank card . I just don't know how stupid I have been and no excuse I should have been on my guard . But you live and learn . Clive X 🤗

Sorry you have been through all this upset and aggravation Clive, don’t blame yourself. The only people to blame are the fraudsters who did this to you. 🙂👍🌈

I live in dread of having my identity stolen. I have resisted Internet banking , but have finally had to give in. Even my smartphone is rarely used, and just about the only calls I get on my landline are scams. Fortunately, although I'm old, I still have all my marbles, and can see them coming!

The Email ones can be a bit more difficult to avoid, I find. Some can be very convincing, but I have a secret weapon, my son!

Hi CliveI'm sorry you are still having to go through all this hassle. You are not stupid, this could happen to anyone. I'm lucky because before I click on anything I check with my family. I hope these scammers get taken to court and get what they deserve, ie put in prison!! I'm glad you've the fraud team involved.

Take care and stay safe Lynne
