Update on our Fish & Chip Meal

Dear All,

I 'Posted', the other day, about our Fish and Chip lunch this afternoon. It went Very well indeed, so it is likely to become a Regular 'thing'. Our Manager went out, to fetch, the Fish & Chips- all Cod- and we all sat in various locations, around the garden. We all bought furniture and/ or crockery- I bought down two chairs, a low table (used for serving) and some Disposable plates. (Hopefully once this 'Social Distancing' is over, we can all actually be more Sociable!).

I Circulated around, and finally sat with Pam & Tom (not real names) who I hadn't 'Chatted' to for ages. After about an hour my Mother Joined us, by arrangement, and we were due to have Walk locally. Unfortunately the Weather was against us- though it 'Held Off' whilst we all ate. I don't normally eat my 'Big' meal, at lunchtime, so I ended up re-frying- about half- this evening. (Very successful too)

In all a VERY pleasant couple of hours, 'Catching Up' with each other. Pam & Tom are getting a dog a 'Cockerpoo' (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle cross). How well, or Not, it will 'get on' with Tigger, our Cat, remains to be seen. (I suspect that Tigger, being such a friendly cat, won't 'mind' at all.)

Oh well time that I went to bed.

That's fantastic it all went so well Andrew. It must have been really enjoyable catching up with people while enjoying your fish and chips out in the open. I am ever so pleased for you, it all went well and you may do it again. xx

Glad to hear that AndrewT. I know you were a bit worried about the weather, so I'm glad it held off while you were eating, and it's lovely if you are going to make it a regular get together. As you say, in times to come, you may be able to socialise properly and not have to observe social distancing, which will make the event even more fun.

Very challenging times right now but your lunchtime fish and chip meal sounds real success for you all and everyone acted responsibly too. So glad that the weather held out and I'm sure this get together has helped to lift everyone's spirits. Well done Andrew.
