Not had a great day, did the washing, put the rubbish out even being outside for 5 minutes some pollen managed to get down my throat making me cough, opened a couple of windows for a short time but had the same problems. Still trying to sort the app twice I got timed out due to 60 minutes inactivity, from when I first logged on till I gave up I'd spent 15 minutes on it, hence the frustration

Hi Jennymary ,
Getting the washing done is a good thing. We do the laundry here once a week unless there's more clothing that's been left behind the first time.
Sorry to hear that you're having pollen issues and that your app on the phone is causing problems for you. I sometimes have issues with apps on my phone here and there. Had you tried to turn the phone off and on? Did you restart the phone? Sometimes, both of these ideas help get things back the way you want them and the apps work afterwards. If not, another idea is to close/swipe up the app's window and then reopen it.
My day has been going okay. I had breakfast and lunch, listened to some music on the radio, texted with friends, sent e-mails, went on HU and did some messages/replies/editing on the groups. I plan to do some reading, do the word scramble puzzles tonight for the next day, watch some TV and eat dinner after figuring out what we will have since it's a hot day here.
Have a good evening and stay safe, Jenny.
Hi Jennymary, Sorry that NHS app is proving to be so frustrating. You might know that if government had a hand in it, it wouldn't work efficiently! Hope you manage to sort out that timing out thing. Very annoying. I guess the pollen count's very high at the moment and making your throat uncomfortable. I don't really suffer from hay fever but even my eyes have been itching today.
I spent almost all the morning here in the community, but then it got too hot for anything, so I went in hunt for my old Alan Bennett 'Talking Heads' scripts, as those have been redone on BBC and I watched the first two last night, though the second one appeared to be one of his two new ones, as it wasn't in either of the books. I did enjoy watching them both though.
All too soon it was time for dinner prep again and I've also cooked a big silverside joint (twice) as I roast it and then slow cook it into submission. As soon as it's cool it'll be bagged up and put in the freezer.
Well I hope you manage to show that app who's boss, and have a good evening! 🙏
So sorry to hear your having a bad day- Technology can be great- when it works but oh so annoying when it fails, I usually turn it all off , and then shout at the thing ( will not change the situation but makes me feel a bit better). I am a bit of a dinosaur though, I have only just got an iphone ! Still trying to sort out what all the apps on it do.
I find a warm drink of honey and lemon can help soothe a dry throat.
Gosh its hot - fans on , watching tv drinking plenty of water in between cups of decaff tea.
Hope you are feeling a little bit better, I know it can be difficult at times, but you are not alone and we are all here to help each other and offer support . I know over the past couple of days I have been so grateful for the support of others on this site who have been so kind.
If you need to have a rant then please feel free to send me a PM I will always try to help.
Keep cool, stay safe and bye bye for now. Shirley x
Applied for some jobs, had a hot walk at lunchtime, went grocery shopping this afternoon as it was nice and quiet and didn't have to wait long and got everything I needed, went on future learn as well.
Hi Jennymary , I'm so sorry you've had a difficult day. Have you tried the hayfever spray for your nose, just a thought?
Technology can be very time wasting and incredibly frustrating. Are you able to contact the makers of the app to say that it's not working? just a thought. Technology frustrates me a lot as it does waste time when it doesn't work.
I went out to DIY stores early this morning to get some sand and cement and then I went on a long bike ride and was exhausted when I got back because of the heat. I really did enjoy the ride though.
I sat out in the garden when I got back and enjoyed a couple of mochas.
Take care and I really hope your day is better tomorrow.

Hi Alicia, yes I use a Beconase Hay fever spray twice daily, it's strange, I stay in with all windows closed and I'm fine, but just 5 mins outside leaves me with a cough, not a bad one but enough to know the pollen got into me
Hi Jennymary , I'm so pleased you have something to help alleviate but isn't it strange just 5 minutes outside and your affected. I bought hubby some hayfever wipes on Monday and my daughter's has used them and they are good. I got them in the £1 shop.
Hi Jennymary, sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with the app. Some can drive you too distraction for sure. I have tried to keep cool all day but it's been a work in progress. I took the dogs out early today because I knew it would get too hot for them. My daughter and granddaughter called for a couple of hours this afternoon, we sat in the garden, in the shade, drinking cold bottled water out of the fridge. I don't cope very well in hot weather and the fence paint I got my mum the other day was the wrong colour, so I waited till after 6 to take it back. I couldn't get the colour she wanted this evening, so I will try early tomorrow before it gets to hot. Hope your evening is going well. 🌞🌼
Dogs don't like it too hot!
Baby hates the heat and gives her mum bad tempered meows thinking that mum controls the weather!
I didn’t really get much done yesterday, I’m making a miniature panda bear for a friend of mine but was struggling to see what I was doing. Will have to sew another body part today.
I have disabilities and found I lost some of my mobility in the early stages of lockdown when I had to isolate because my son and his friend were both ill and I’d had contact with them. So now I have a target of limping around the housing development three times a week to try and regain what I lost - last couple of times I’ve waited for the temperature to drop a bit before heading out, last night it was almost sunset, which was beautiful.
Hi Jenny
Pollen is very high this year I think it's taking advantage of the cleaner air due to lockdown to circulate unhindered, a few weeks ago my eyes were streaming but have recovered in this new heat so am slouching in a swing 2 seater with a large umbrella nearby shading me in the garden about to carry on reading 'to kill a mocking bird' an excellent read for any time but perhaps quite pertinent right now, the washing can wait I'm in England who knows how long the gloriously wonderful weather will last, living alone has been a challenge but some lovely friends have invited me to join their bubble so things are looking up, sympathies to any and all who are gardenless stay safe and get those anti histamines out 🌈 ps yesterday did my second 32 minute post c25k run only just got back in one piece, out of my comfort zone is an understatement next week 35 mins, forget the washing life's too short ha ha
