Weather much better here today, no thunder or lightning, but rained on and off all day. Did the ironing, than my book group, haven't done much more, just a bit of tidying up, replying/posting on HU, otherwise been fairly quiet today

Hi Jennymary , glad it's been a better day for you, surprising how fast it goes even when quiet.
Pleased that the weather hasn't been quite as bad.
We had a dry, albeit very cloudy, morning and then the rain started at around 13:30 and hasn't stopped since, it's been really heavy since about 15:00. I think the drains are going to struggle.
I managed to get a reasonable cycle ride in and was in the city centre by 09:00, I needed some birthday cards and anniversary card. After I got home at around 11:00 I went a did our weekly shop so managed to do everything when it was dry.

Hi Jennymary, Hope that you, as well as the weather are better today. We got a brief storm today, earlier on but it seems to have moved on again now. Pretty much a routine day for me today too. I had planned on taking a stroll until the inclement weather came on, so like you I've been on and off the forum and doing some tidying up and cooking. Enjoy your evening.🙏

I was out this afternoon even with the rain and came home and showered and got into my pyjamas early!

It's good to hear that the weather is better (even with the on and off rainfall) today than it had been yesterday for you. It's also great to hear that you had a chance to get some ironing done and the book group.
For my day, I had breakfast and lunch, went on the groups, texted with friends, video chatted with my Uncle in Florida, did replies to postings and comments, sent e-mails on and off HU, did some reading before lunch, had a big salad with tuna for lunch, listened to music on my bedroom radio and patted my cat. I plan to do more reading and do some word scramble puzzles this evening for tomorrow morning, get ready for dinner plans, watch TV, listen to more music and try to finish my book tonight. I'm more than half way done.

Hi Jennymary, I'm glad the weather is improving where you are. Here it has rained heavily all day. It looks like it has just gone off looking out the window now. The sky is very grey and dark though. Done the daily chores earlier. Replied to post's. Might look for a film to watch on Netflix later or dare I say it, start another picture. Hope you have a lovely evening. xx
Sorted out a job interview for 29 June, had a rainy afternoon walk, went on future learn, had a phone interview, did some reading and applied for some jobs.
Its been pouring with rain here today as well.

Thanks for that. It's always nice to get invited for an interview when lots of people don't even get that far.
The phone interview was unexpected from a recruitment agency and I gave my best and with them I take what they say with a grain of salt as I think they tend to lie and when they were full of promises I was like to myself we will see how things pan out and if they don't then the world won't end!
I go with the idea when things appear too good to be true then yes they are!

I have some deliveries coming today, and I'm shielding, so I'm happy pottering around the house. While the weather was good I was gardening as far as possible, now I can catch up on somewhat neglected housework!
Need to blitz the Kitchen and bathroom!

Of things they have written and now am sorting out their old books for our 9 month old grandson, they hope to move to a house just down the road x
Read some poetry and read my latest book, went for a ride in the van with my wife but did not get out as to many people around, then back to book and tele, stay safe
