After a busy few days, a calm has descended and today has been quiet with not much going on, just a bit more clearing out and some more shredding has been found.

Nice to have a quiet day now and again Jennymary, and I've been doing the same today, again after quite a busy week for me too. That darned shredding! There always seems to be a pile of it awaiting its turn! Sometimes mine overheats and refuses to do more until I give it a bit of a rest first! Hope you have a calm evening too!
I went to town this morning. I met some friends at a shop and then had a pizza at a local cafe for lunch. In the early afternoon I walked back slowly. This evening I am chilling. No plans at all.
Had a bit of a slow start, but my daughter and granddaughter came over early afternoon which was a lovely surprise 💕 Laura told me that yesterday Skye (my granddaughter) had blown a dandelion clock. Laura said to her to make a wish but not to tell anyone otherwise it wouldn’t come true. Apparently Skye wandered off blowing this dandelion, quite happy. On the way home in the car, she suddenly said “ Mama, my wish has come true! I have the best Mama in the world!” OMG! How cute is that? She is not yet 4! 💕💕💕 xx
Sounds like you've had a nice relaxing day today which can be needed at times. Honestly you can find shredding wherever you go, there's always some.
I did some baking for hubby this morning, a bit of pottering around in the garden for half an hour or so and then on the PC, I've not been out for exercise today and I have missed it so I'll be out there tomorrow on a walk somewhere even though rain is forecast.
Have a lovely evening.
Alicia xx
Future learn this morning and out for a walk, applied for a couple of jobs and spent the rest of the day watching Tom Cruise movies.
Hi. You always seem to be so busy, I think it's wonderful.
Today my Headway (brain injury charity,) worker called. Hopefully the weekly group that I went to before coronavirus will start up again, (with safety measures,) in August, so I am hoping that happens. It's my only social activity and I have missed it and all the people who attend a lot.
I also had a call from a hearing therapist who is working to help me. Due to my brain injury, I cannot filter out background sounds and certain sounds cause pain in my head. The therapist has lent me a sound ball. It is to help me to retrain my brain. It will be a long process, but I hope it may help a little. At the moment I can't be in even a small group of people, or in a shop or cafe with background music.
I apologise for waffling on! It's just rare that anything happens! 😁🌸
Good luck with your sound ball, hope your group manages to start up in August
That will give you something nice to look forward to when your group restarts soon
Hi Jennymary, I have my granddaughter here, We have had a lovely day walking the dogs, then she painted some pictures, she watched Box Trolls a film on Netflix. It's her birthday tomorrow, she is so excited. It's been very warm today. I feel quite tired now,so will relax and probably watch a film. Hope you are having a pleasant evening. 😊🌸
Great to slow down a bit isn’t it.
I did a nice bike ride in the Sierra foothills, went birding, did a few chores, and worked on various projects.
Tomorrow is another ride, and visiting with several friends from a distance.
Hope you have fun.
Cleaned the kitchen, cried, sang and watched a movie.
This day Friday was a sad day for me we laid to rest the nicest man ever he died of pancreatic cancer at the young age of 59 beautiful heart pure mind very funny guy
Sorry to hear your sad news , may your freind rest in peace. I feel your loss as my husband died of this disease at a youngish age with very little warning. There is far more help now but it still if not detected early is a killer disease. My thoughts are with you and any family he has.
Yet another example of how life isn't fair seeing how young he was!
I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
Thank you so much life is to short and sometimes very ugly xx
Hi Jennymary, I always find if I try to do a sort out job up pops the telephone annoyance squad and I get nothing done. So yesterday I tried my jigsaw and had no calls only the ones I was expecting. Got used to being alone ,stuck in for24 hours a day, but does not mean I like it. Once sheilding is lifted next week I am going to try and get out but not very optimistic as I can't get my rollater on public transport and nearest shops are uphill if walking. Not too keen on latest news about overweight problems and how they are to be addressed. How can the immobile slim if they cannot get exercise and often take tablets that cause weight gain or changed metabolism. Each case needs to be assessed in a safe manner not just presumed it is due to overeating. So as one problem partly resolves other ones appear. Take care and stay safe . Keep busy too.
Thats what I thought when I heard that was how do they expect those who are disabled in wheelchairs to exercise to lose weight as its not as simple as one size fits all!
Oh how I agree with you. another one is how do visually impaired read fuel meters? top companies expect you too sadly, even registered blind. My mum was very short and overweight according to tables ,she died at 97 after a long active live thin and looking like one of the starving children from the third world as the home insisted on her losing weight so she stopped eating . So sad. I get so frustrated that others can do bad health things like dangerous healthy sport damage their bodies ,get fixed and a pat on the back. At what weight will they say you need to reduce or be refused treatment.?????
