What's anyone done today

Today, literally started well, just after midnight I managed to get a tesco click and collect slot for 18 April, only ordered dry stuff, cereal etc, and my sister will collect it and bring it over for me. Otherwise, another quiet day pottering around, just had a friend ring and she's been doing the same as me, not going out much, but she has got some work to do in her garden. Been sunny, but with a cold wind here today, not sure if I'll go out for a short walk tomorrow or not, more weather dependant than anything

Good evening Jennymary, my day started at midnight when I was in the Land of Nodd, I woke up a 5.30am BST to find that one of my Radio clocks was still on GMT, that meant it was a hour slow, the only way to correct a Radio clock is NOT to push the minute hand a hour forward but to take the battery out of the back of the clock, that way the clock stops, then I put the battery back in, the clock then waits for a signal on the Long Wave from a transmitter, now in North West England when it restarts on the exact correct time, it did and at 6.30 before breakfast I did a 5 minute plank workout and then a 3 minutes session on my kettlebells.

At 7am I had breakfast, watched the latest coronavirus news, one of the people said it is OK to go outside for a walk, run or bike ride so after breakfast I went a 9K walk on the same route that I ran 5K yesterday.

PS, As Vera Lynn sang, "don't know where, don't know when, but some sunny Saturday morning the sun will shine at a parkrun", well I added a bit to that song.

Hi Jennymary, Well I enjoyed a leisurely shower followed by morning coffee in Terry telling robe. Watched a little of the news, then got dressed.

I then potted on a few plants, cleaned and sorted remaining kitchen cupboards. I decided to have a simple Brunch of beans on toast and a glass of orange juice. I then spent some time reading and resting. My daughter has just made Sunday lunc h (dinner) and left it on my doorstep. Looking forward to having it after reheating. I am now catching up with my friends on the forum and will end the evening watching T.V.

Well that's a step by step account of my day, I plan to clear my bedroom tomorrow. Lots of clothes to recycle. All for now.

I told him I fancied a trip to John Lewis in Chichester, a walk and then lunch at the marina. ๐Ÿคฃ

I've been pottering about, phoning family and friends checking they are A OK. Walk the dogs in a safe area. Might find a film to watch on Netflix a film based on a true story probably. xx

I had a lazy Sunday morning this morning for a change, got up and dressed at 12, had one of those hunger breaks tins and then went on future learn, watched a film, went out for a 4 mile walk which I enjoyed, had some tea and just put a load of laundry in the machine to wash.

Hi Jennymary,

Early-ish start this morning, 0630 the dog who must be obeyed called to ask where her breakfast was. Our walk in the local park for an hour and a half was bracing, but the cold wind blew away the cobwebs. Still canโ€™t get used to not being able to drive out to our usual walking spots (trying to be โ€œresponsibleโ€ during this C-19 business). Iโ€™ve got a chocolate cake in the oven - it just has to be done purely for morale purposes.๐Ÿ˜

I also reckon that if tested, Iโ€™d test positive...for shortbread!

Stay safe and well.

Mmmm sounds delicious!!!

Hi Jennymary

Well, I went on my pedals in the house at about half 6, showered, had some breakfast. I was then looking at what needed doing in the front room knowing my husband (who is brilliant) would have to do most of it as I have many conditions which are quite debilitating which does frustrate me!! Sorry, went off the beaten track, then!!! I did some reading, we all had a couple of games of trivial pursuit on Xbox 360. Of course I came last but better than last night!!! Phoned my friend off one of the other forums and then one called me!! Checked up on family and friends. On and off the forums and going to read my book in bed as I want to finish it tonight. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ๐Ÿ˜˜

Hi Jennymary, you did very well to get a tesco slot, Sainsburys don't have anything at all!

I cooked Sunday lunch, first time all five of us have eaten together in a while ๐Ÿ˜Š then I watched the whole series of Chernobyl with a little break between episodes. Just got back from a rather bracing but very quiet walk around the village.

Hope you're having a lovely evening ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Jennymary, you seem to be taking social distancing in your stride. You are very lucky over in the UK, being able to go for a walk or run and the plus side of having a garden. I am in Spain where the majotif people live in apartments and we aren't allowed out at all. if you have a dog you are only allowed to be 200m from your house. Lots of police and army patrolling the streets too. Stay safe and healthy ๐Ÿคฉ

Hello, I have cleaned up from dinner last night, am about to peg washing out, watched the birds in my birdbath and feeders, and erased out all the marks in my music as my concert was cancelled and there is no more choir.

Could not resist a sing through as doing this, albeit a bit rubbish.

Off to clear a cornerof the garden now, with empty pots, cannot get soil or plants to put in them but never mind.

Have received a parcel from John Lewis, but trying to work out the logistics of returning it, whilst stuck inside alone.

Then look through meagre fridge rations for hopefully for some lunch.

Doesnโ€™t sound exciting but I am ok and that is all that currently matters.

Take care Sopsx

Hi, I have ordered some meat from a local butcher who is doing home deliveries for the vulnerable, bless him. I may not get it until Saturday, but my Morrison's order is not due until April 17th so will keep us going until then.

Look into Zoom or Google Hangtime for video conferencing. We have been doing game nights with our adult children and their significant others. Its amazing what a little face time can do for an otherwise isolated day.

Spent most of the morning sorting the months paperwork. I self isolated several weeks before the Gov. order but just could not be bothered

with sorting all the mail that had come in.

After lunch I decided I needed to re pack the freezer draws ready for a delivery from Morrisons next weekend.

EUREKA.... have two full draws empty. The only thing to be thrown out was a part box of ice lolly pops...... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Jo.

We are fortunate to live in a log home in the woods of Southern NH. I get up every morning eat breakfast then walk out my door for a 2-3 hour hike. I rarely see another person but do see deer and an occasional moose.
