I rode into my city centre again today and came home via the beach road. I am now finding that riding my bike up hills is becoming easier, I'm really eager to take part in a challenge for charity.
I managed to get some more spelt flour, 3 bags to be precise (the assistant said I could have the 3 bags), some bits from the pharmacy and bags of nuts, my rucksack was a little weighty😉
The weather has been stunning today, I cycled just over 22.5 miles.

good evening, I live in York and enjoy cycling, 38 miles has been my furthest this year, though fairly flat. The Vale of York doesn't do hills. You have to cycle 20 miles to reach a decent one! If you decide to do the Lands End to John o'Groats and your route comes anywhere nr York, I'd be proud to cycle alongside you for a few days. take care and keep pedalling, Pete

York is a lovely place to live, I visited some years back when I stayed with my cousin in Gisburn, near Clitheroe.
38 miles is a very good distance, doesn't it feel good.🚴♀️🚴♂️
There are a lot of hills in Devon and I do find it good to challenge myself.
That's lovely if you to say, I really do want to cycle Lands End to John O'Groats, it all depends on the cost, I've a little more research to do yet.

It really is a lovely view from the road above the coast. The ride was bliss and I'm hoping to repeat last Saturday's ride ride tomorrow along a very long stretch of country road.
The charity I want to ride for is JIA (Juvenile idiopathic Arthritis), my 4 year old granddaughter has it but she's doing so well, it's a way of giving something back.

Hey Alicia there is nothing like being out on your bike, take good care tho. Ironically I got my head injury doing a charity cycle ride but I raised loads of money and I’ve been back on my bike and thankfully I’m fine.....most of the time!!😂
I totally agree, I love it and thank you, I am careful when I'm on the bike. I'm so glad you are okay, how scary that must have been for you. I'm so glad you raised loads of money and have been back on your bike. Love your sense of humour. 
The flour situation and the general food situation is a lot better lately than it was when this all started back in March.
It was disgusting though the mad scram to go into Asdas in Brighton at 6am that I had seen on the news before they started the queuing to go into the supermarkets to make sure it's fair to everyone.
Main thing with queuing for the supermarkets and shops is that it's polite and fair.
It is getting better and as you say better than March.
Although I doubt none of us enjoy queuing but agree it's a lot fairer. Agree that it is also polite and I always thank the person letting us in.
