A short cycle ride today

Hi all

I met a friend today, we kept our distance, and we supported another friend by standing watching her dad's hearse drive down the road. We wanted to support her and it was a good way of doing that. I didn't know her dad so it wasn't emotional for me so I was able to support.

After than we sat down on some grass and had a chat.

I collected some Vegan cheese from my daughter's friend who kindly ordered it for me and then cycled home the scenic route.

I hope you like the photos.

Hi

I'm so pleased you were able to support your friend. It was my Aunty's funeral 3 weeks ago , we obviously weren't allowed to go. My uncle is having a memorial when all this is over. Take care and stay safe. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

in reply to

It was good to be able to do that, she just sent me a lovely text to thank me bless her.

I'm sorry it was your Aunty's funeral, it's difficult at times like this.

Take care and stay safe.

Thank you for your kind words. I know I don't know your friend but please pass on my condolences to her. It's hard enough when you lose someone but it must be even harder when you can't hug anyone etc. Loads of love Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

Hi Alicia glad you enjoyed your day out today, its so nice to catch up with friends even if we have to keep our distance.Glad you were there to support your friend it must be so hard to organise a funeral during these dark times. My son lost his dear friend 2 weeks ago they were a big family and could only have 10 people inside cremotorium but my son said it was amazing the ammount of people that lined the street at a social distance and loads lining up at cremotorium with loudspeakers outside he still got a very good send off. just imagine though the loved ones inside 2 mt apart and not being able to support each other with hugs etc. Anyway glad you got your cheese and enjoyed the bike ride home , by the wat the vista looks beautiful today. I saw a friend last week and we sat apart in her garden, it was lovely.

It was good to be able to support her, she did amazingly well. That was hard for your son to attend his friend's funeral, someone taken far too young I'd say. I'm glad the send off was so good though.

Yes amazingly it's 2kg cheese for £9, that's very cheap for Vegan cheese.

Thank you, yes a lovely day for taking photos.

Alicia🌈😊

That was a lovely thing to do for your friend, and glad you enjoyed your bike ride, I've got mum's funeral on Friday afternoon and we've found out today that I need to sit separately from my brother and sister as they live at a different address to me

in reply to Jennymary

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. It must be so hard. Thinking of you all. You can pm me if you want/need anything. All my love Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

in reply to Jennymary

Thank you Jennymary, my friend thanked me walking down behind the hearse, she did very well.

I'm so sorry you aren't going to be able to sit with your brother and sister, very hard. I hope you'll catch up when we are all able to see our families again.

The bike ride was hot but good.

Take care and stay safe.

Good for you.

On the ride and support. Always a difficult time.

I do like the photos.

We are now in the Sierra Nevada foothills where the temp reached 103f.

I am really looking forward to a ride in the morning. There are some nice ones here. I seem to enjoy the hot weather.

in reply to daveh121

Thank you Dave and I was glad I was able to be there for her which she did appreciate. It was okay for me as I didn't know her dad so I was able to be there without showing emotion, just support.

Thank you and it was a beautiful day.

Oh my goodness, that's a very hot day.

I hope you are able to get out on your ride today and I also enjoy the hot weather, I'd much rather ride in heat than the cold.

Yes, heat is good for me also. The ride was perfect. I forgot my phone for the photos though. Maybe Saturday I’ll do better.

in reply to daveh121

It was sunny, warm and windy today. Looking forward to seeing your photos from tomorrow's ride.😊

Thankyou! Winter where I live doesn't last too long fortunately and I can go for short drives to the coast and visit my family sitting in my car and parked on their driveway! They keep well back and the children give themselves a self hug and I do the same! This time will pass eventually! Stay safe!

in reply to Sekka

I'm glad it doesn't last too long, sounds like my ideal place to live.

That's lovely visiting your family and yes this will soon be over. How lovely for the children to give self hugs, I like that.

Stay safe and well.

Stunning views as ever 😍.

You sound like a great friend to have during these times...and also when things aren't quite so tough. 🌈🚵

in reply to mattymoo33

Thank you mattymoo.

I have to say my friend is the most caring person, she puts others before herself.

I'm so looking forward to seeing her socially under different circumstances.

This covid19 has so many negatives and sadness but when I read posts like yours I become so aware of all the kindness that is around us. I see it everyday among my friends and strangers, also. I hope to keep this awareness and gratitude when this is over.

in reply to nosher

I agree it really does but agree also that there are positives ie. I think people are now starting to want less 'things/possessions' and that's a very good thing.

Thank you so much for your very kind words, I really appreciate it.🌈🙏😊
