I couldn't resist making a little treat so here it is. I've not made this one before and it has dark chocolate chips in it. The only thing I've missed out is the vanilla extract as I can't get any as all the shops are out of stock.

Falling apart? Add half a cup of super glue to the recipe. The added advantage is, the slices will really stick to your hips! Elizabeth.

Oh wow. I’ve got loads of bananas. I blame Jerry as he posted bananas and ice cream and I thought I fancy that now. I bought bananas and then realised I had no ice cream 😭so now I might made a chocolate banana loaf. Looks delicious 😋

It seems to me that the whole country has taken up baking to pass the time Alicia. All baking ingredients seem in short supply. I'm sure your banana bread was delicious without the vanilla extract. It certainly looks it! 😊
They really have but funnily enough I'm always baking, mainly for my hubby but since following the low fodmap diet I'm baking even more ie. sweet potato brownies as I can no longer have the raw fruit bars I used to make, I was sad about that as I love raw fruit bars.
It's absolutely fine without the vanilla extract.
For those with special dietary needs or those with coeliac can now order a box of GF goodies from Morrisons, I think that's a brilliant idea.😊
