Thank you, always satisfying to make your ownπππ
Thank you Jerry, can't beat homemade breadππ
And your's always looks delicious ππ
Thank you, sourdough is so easy to makeπππ
How do you make it please?
I have found this to be the best recipe.
dovesfarm.co.uk/recipes/who...
It's so good.π
I totally agree. My starter is ageing well and does well for my bread,it us fairly pungent now. That bread looks awesome πππ
Thanks for the reminder. Tell me some fun math activities you can do with bread please. Also other than merely writing a short poem or article about different types of bread do feel free to recommend to me some more fun English activities to do that involve bread. Feel free to fire away at me.
I really can't think of any Tharaπ€
Hi thara9643 maths activities and bread, you can a whole pile of things around weighing and following a recipe you can try making bread without the correct amount of an item obvs it wastes food but can be good to see what happens, you make the recipe smaller and find if you put too much water or too much flour what happens. You can % and fractions by cutting bread you can also do a lot of multiplication and division by working out how to make the recipe for more or fewer people, first work out how many slices in the loaf and then work out how many loaves you need to make say 20 sandwiches. You can add money in by working out the cost of the ingredients per slice etc, Hope this helps. ππ₯π
Those look delish Alicia!
Thank you Sueππ
Wish I had your skills to bake bread π
Thank you for your kind wordsπ
Can you please send me a loaf by post?
Ah think it might be a little squished by the time you get itππ
Make lockdown bread every week since March. Love it and so satisfying with no preservatives. Next day I slice it and put in freezer and pull out a piece when we need it. Happy Bread Week. π
Ooh they look awesome Diana. I do the same slice and freezeππ
Oh thanks Alicia. All homemade bread looks so good doesn't it. There's someone in the village who makes lovely sour dough bread. She sells it for Β£2 and give help on a video. Then a young couple started up The Loaf Tin. They make French baguettes and delicious biscuits. But nothing glutton free.
It really does.
How lovely to have someone in your village that makes sourdough, think that would work well in my village. Shame the couple don't do gluten free, so many people cannot tolerate gluten.
My favourite type of bread is wholemeal sourdough, i've never made it though xx
I've always enjoyed wholemeal and the sourdough is very good for the gutππ
my Mum always gave us wholemeal, then when i started working in the nearby city i discovered a deli that sold fresh baked rye bread which Dad and brother didn't like but Mum n i loved, i know you have digestive problems Alicia, i had cancer 3 years ago so gut health is even more important to me now, i buy the kefir yoghurt also, stay well love and hugs pamela xxxx
Oh I bet that bread was lovely, especially freshly baked from a deli. I'm so sorry you had cancer Pamela and really hope all's good now. I agree that what you eat is very important.
Take care xxxπ
3 years in remission now Alicia all good, we always ate healthy home cooked food and I still do now i make lots of soups i love my veg, hope your health problems are still under control - you look after yourself so well i know xxxx
That's fantastic to hear Pamela, I'm so pleased for you. You do kind of wonder how you get such a serious illness when your diet is so good but it could be genetics and down to our DNA. I love my homemade soups. My tummy is in a very happy place at the moment and I'm so pleased about that. My skin is playing up a bit but that's nothing in comparison to tummy troubles.
Thank you for saying that, fitness and healthy eating is so good.
Take care xxxx
Yummy...homemade bread is a wow! For sure.Used to make sourdough years ago but lost the starter and havenβt had the notion to try again.
Iβll just let you girls who do it so good do that and Iβll just imagine!!!!π€ππ
I've been using the starter I made last year, it's still doing really well.
Thank you, I'm not planning to stopπππππ
Hello crazyfitness
Just give me some of the crust, the best part.
Oh I've always loved the crust, I used to fight for it with my eldest sibling as a childππ
Hello crazyfitness
Yes it is the best part, m-m-m-m. I have one daughter and grandsons who will not eat bread crust, they cut the crust off outside of sandwiches. I asked one time, "what do you do with hamburger buns?, oh that is different".
Oh most definitely the best part. Love your question about the hamburger rollsππ
