Looking for advice.

I was diagnosed with persistent AF last year and since then I’ve had a pacemaker fitted. I am currently on medication candesartan 8 mgs, bisopralol 3.75 once daily, rivaroxaban 20mgs, nicorandil 10mgs twice daily. I was referred by cardiologist to the electro physiologists but my appointment was cancelled due to Coronavirus.

I continue to experience episodes of breathlessness and a choking feeling and a tight chest several times a day. As I am unable to see a doctor or EPs I would welcome some advice as to what causes this and how it can be managed.

Thank you

Raj

Hi RajenM unfortunately I can't offer any medical advice but the BHF (healthunlocked.com/bhf) or AF Association (healthunlocked.com/afassoci... communities might be able to offer support. If your symptoms worsen, maybe you try calling 111. Hope you feel better soon :)

I think these symptoms should get checked out with your cardiac history. Are you awaiting a pacemaker check. They can run the history off to see if any slight adjustments are needed. Any shortness of breath and chest tightness always needs checking especially with your history. The next time you have it, you should ring for advice and take it from there. xx
