So today I put away the rest of yesterday's shopping, written a short note to my cousin's widow, something I've been meaning to do all week, hopefully I'll be able to pop out and post it this weekend
No phone call today (so far), but you may remember all the problems I had with Boots, well I've had more problems since and 2 weeks ago they actually rang me and said one parcel was on its way, I received it 2 days later , and I'd get another parcel the following week and as I was told this would be done automatically I didn't re-order, it never arrived I rang them this morning just after 9. 00 and spoke to someone nothing been dispensed for me!!! I said when I've got this sorted I was going back to my original system, GP to store and collect, and was told I could do that from now on, haven't ordered today but will do over the weekend so hopefully all that hassle is now finished with.

I’m surprised to hear that about Boots, I ordered a repeat prescription from my doctors last Sunday and Monday after someone delivered it to my door which considering I’m only 63 I’m well impressed with them.
I’ve done my usual painting, watched a bit of TV and read a bit. I’m quite tired after the hot weather. 😁
Boots again, I would have thought they would have got it right by now. Boots isn't my favourite chemist/pharmacy, I much prefer Superdrug, in all the years I've been going there they've been brilliant.
I went shopping this morning, got back home and hubby had cleaned the floors and started to do the ironing bless him. I was on the computer for a long time as I was taking part in a team meeting as a friend of mine was retiring from where I used to work, we are the same age. It was lovely to see all the old faces.
I cooked my bread this afternoon and made some biscuits.
Hope you have a lovely evening.
Alicia 🌈😊
Today I have applied for 2 jobs, done the washing, had a 4 mile lunchtime walk, finished off truly madly guilty by liane Moriarty which I really enjoyed.
The local chemist is doing our deliveries, we are quite lucky as we have not yet transferred to the local GP but I email our old surgery with a prescription request and they forward it direct to the chemist. We thought we might stay with our old GP and pharmacy but everyone here has been so helpful that we will probably change when all this is over.
What have we done today - not a lot I'm afraid!
Hi Jennymary, I've been quite productive today and caught up with some stitching that was needed to a pile of clothes that have been awaiting attention for far too long. So, I'm really pleased that's done now.
How awful to have more problems with Boots! This really isn't working for you is it? It's just so frustrating. And now you mention it, I'm well overdue a call from Boots to say mine's ready too. I'm sure I put in my request early in the last week in May! Always something to have to chase up. I'm also fed up with my energy supplier which insisted I have a smart meter fitted and the gas supply hasn't registered on it from day one. And this after I pointed out that it was hardly likely to work as the meter is so remote from the property. And of course any attempt to reach the energy supplier is rebuffed saying it's too busy dealing with covid19 problems. Not too busy to continue to send out its bills though! Oh joy!
Anyway Jennymary, enjoy your evening and I hope you can sort out your prescription problem more easily this time.🙏
Sorry to hear about Boots causing more issues for you. It's good that you have a second option for getting medication.
For my day today, I had breakfast and lunch, did some messages on and off HU, did some replies on HU, sent some text messages, printed out an e-mail message that I need to save and just did some relaxing. I plan to do some reading before dinner and bed tonight. I also plan to do the word scramble puzzles for the group after dinner gets done tonight.
Oh my word Jennymary, I do hope you don't start having problems with Boot's again. I have been watching the series Cardinal on BBC iplayer. I didn't watch it when it first aired. It's been very good. I'm trying to catch up to present. Just been doing house chores, walking the dogs today. It is quite a bit cooler today so I've felt the cold. Hope you are having a pleasant evening. xx
I went on the computer, filled in some forms to go back to the hospital, ate lunch with son, wandered about in the garden although it was cold and windy, finished off a few more cards that I am making, looked through the TV guide as to what's on next week and then in the evening we all sat down together and had a "film night" watching "West Side Story". It was a painful and uncomfortable day, but what's new?
