Second meeting of the Lincolnshire PMR group.

We are a small group from Health Unlocked and Facebook who are enjoying chatting, sharing our stories and experiences, and having a nice meal at the same time

We have agreed to meet at Woodthorpe Garden Centre monthly on the 4th Saturday of the month. Haggis and Tatties has kindly set up a Whatsapp page for the group, where we can share information, post dates of the meetings etc.

Something unexpected and very nice, was that some people brought their families along with them so we have become something of a social group as well!

Thank you PMR Pro for your advice on setting up the Group. Pris80

So pleased it is working out well for you. It doesn't take much to just meet like that - you don't HAVE to have speakers and projects that take a lot of effort.

Thanks, I think the informality of the group is what's going to make it work. So far there are only 4 of us . Little commitment except to make sure people know the date of the next meeting, and for me to turn up.

I agree - and IF it gets bigger, that is a bridge to cross then, Not now,

I would be interested in a meeting at Woodthorpe :). I have wanted to try the Yorkshire meetings but never quite had the energy/time to cover the distance - Alford is easy enough :) Does that make it the 26th?

Hi Pippah45. By my reckoning it's Saturday the 24th of May. We meet in the restaurant at 12 noon, and I will be wearing my purple jacket. It would be lovely to meet you.

I made it the 26th April? Please confirm or deny! Look forward to meeting you. I may have my latest rescue dog with me.

So sorry, It's me mixing up my Saturdays. We had the last meeting on the second Saturday of this month which has just gone. So the next one will be on Saturday the 10th of May, the 2nd Saturday of the month. I'm the person who frequently turns up at the Doctors on the wrong day. I think I told the others the 4th Saturday , so I will have to put that right. I would love to meet your dog , but there is a dedicated area for them outside of the main area, and it's usually pretty full, so it might be difficult to find a space where we can all be seated. Do you rely on him for your sight or getting around?

Oh I do that with appointments luckily normally a day or more early rather than late! That is strange maybe I haven't actually taken a dog in there as I have always sat in the main area. I hadn't realised it was only the outside bit. She will be fine in the car with the other one. Or at home if the sun is out! No they might let a service dog in the main area - she is just a new rescue and I am kind of educating to new experiences - its not a problem although I am fairly sure I took the other dog into the main area once - maybe they turned a blind eye or didn't notice as she was so quiet! Just checked with the friend I had lunch with and I did take the German Shepherd in the main dining room - must have missed the signs! She remembers how noisy some of the dogs were in the other bit!

Yes you did say the 4th Saturday - :)
