North West & Cheshire Support Group Meeting 21st February!

Originally the Cheshire Group, we have renamed our newly expanded NW group as we realised we have a huge area and population yet only the one support group!

We welcome anyone who wishes to join us and who would appreciate exchanging experiences etc with other sufferers of PMR & GCA.

We have a full year of dates planned and alternate between actually meeting up and having meetings via Zoom.

We recently had several new members join us and it’s interesting to note that they all have GCA whereas mostly we’ve had PMR sufferers in the group.

Whatever you have we’d love to hear from you!

Our next meeting is next Friday 21st February at our new meeting venue The Cottons Hotel & Spa in Knutsford. We are hoping to move around as the year progresses to make attending in person easier for folks.

Please drop us an email at cheshire@pmrgca.org.uk for more details or just to find out more about our group.

I've been going to this group's meetings since they started, and they are brilliant. I was confused about PMR and felt alone in the confusion and pain (despite a great GP and supportive rheumy). I can't thank the organisers enough for the help and cheerful support.

We also have a cheery whatsapp group. So if you're in Cheshire or anywhere in the North West, do come along on Friday or get in touch!

I come to the Zoom meetings. It's great to get a bit of camaraderie and support from 'real' people!

I agree! Until my first zoom group meeting I’d never met nor spoken to anyone else with either of the diseases!

Quite emotional as these were folks who were walking in my shoes😊
