A meeting is arranged for NorthKent PMR and GCA support group on Tuesday 13 August from 11.30am to 2.30pm at Christ Church United Reform in Tonbridge, about 100 yards from Tonbridge Station. Tea and coffee will be available but please bring a packed lunch! There is a small café in the church where you could buy a cake.

Vicki Raven, who works with people who have ME and fibromyelgia, other auto-immune illnesses, will be speaking. There will also be plenty of opportunity to share with others.

We will plan how we would like to go forward as a group so if you have any thoughts about what sort of speakers you would like, frequency of meetings or anything else please come along and let us know.

If you are in Kent or close enough to come from elsewhere email northkent@pmrgcauk.com to book in or call Penny on 01689 869570 - if you would like me to call you back please leave your name and phone number.

Penny

Date for your diary: the next meeting will be in Chelsfield, Orpington at the Chelsfield Methodist Church on Tuesday 12 November. My new rheumatologist has offered to speak to us - he is very keen on support groups and to meet everyone.

This is a great, accessible venue. If you are coming by train, there is a lift at the end of both up and down platforms! They aren't that easy to spot because of the stairs. Although it's not my nearest station, this is why I always use it when coming back from rat shows, laden with tanks, carriers and furry occupants!

PS minus furry friends :) :)

Cleaned cages of some 'furry friends' this afternoon - kissed and played with the occupants! Promise not to bring any on Tuesday! ;) ;)

Blood test at the GP surgery tomorrow - second of six weekly ones because of the azathioprine.
