Views on taking Vitamin K2 please. I do have a good varied diet but some have suggested that this Vitamin helps Calcium to be taken out of the blood and to be deposited in the bones?

Hi there,I take vitamin K2, and all the research I've done suggests (as you have) that it assists the body in depositing the calcium ingested through diet, into the bones, rather than the blood vessels.

I should also have said that it's also believed to do the same for calcium taken as a supplement.

After reading many comments on here I started Vitamin K2-MK7, 200mcg. Time will perhaps tell. Currently awaiting results of my first Dexa scan before then making a decision on whether to take Alendronic Acid. I do realise though that the actual density is not the full story, again gleaned from the many well informed on this forum.

Hello, I have vitamin D3 with K2 drops which I have daily. My endo prescribed D3 because I am intolerant to sunlight and do not get the vitamin D from being outdoors in summer, I have to cover up. I believe the K2 helps absorption of the D3 as it does with the calcium, my levels have been ok since using it.🙂
