So after a couple of weeks not sleeping, paracetamol and ibuprofen seem to be okay through the day ( probably because my mind is occupied) but at night time naw it don't work. So been taking Amitriptyline, again without much success. So now we've been prescribed big boy tablets gabapentin I will keep you posted on its success or failure.
On a brighter note the leg ulcers seem to be healing, on the downside I've developed two more one on the big toe and one on the toe next to the big toe, which means I cannot wear trainers, so I've got a sexy hospital boot, unfortunately you don't get a choice of colours I would've preferred Claret and blue instead I got black. So at the moment my left leg is wrapped up like a mummy.
and as the famous Ray Charles said if it wasn't for bad luck then I would have no luck at all.
PS Burnley beat Swansea and I had a lovely Benedictine and hot water as a celebration. If you are unaware of Benedictine Google it's pretty famous in Burnley and rather tasty. TBC

It's a lovely association. We recounted it to ourselves as we were sat in the Fecamp distillery 4 months ago slurping the same in a cocktail......benedictine, lime juice, ice......super bon! Fabulous neogothic building bang in the middle of town.
I have visited the place. Beautiful it is. We cycled from the monastery back to Burnley in the aid of prostate cancer. I think a total of 600mile which took us 7 days raising a lot of money. That was in a past life of which I greatly miss. Not sure about the lime juice I must try it.
Please watch for the side effects, especially if you feel you are suffering ‘unusual for you’ depression! I had to stop taking them, sadly, due to other side effects, as they’re quite good for most folk with fibromyalgia. They certainly didn’t work to help sleep for me…I recommend Zopiclone!! Benedictine? Does that mean you now wear a rope belt with three knots in it?
did take oral or injections methotrexate, and how long did it take before you felt pain relief with methotrexate, been told 3-6 mos, and that it s hard on liver and heart?
