Exercise/pushing your limits

Firstly may I give a big thumbs up to the admin on this feed for the wonderful and informative advice and support that they give thank you.

Ok update time, if you have been following my continued menial journey through this forest of success and and it must be said failure I am now down to 10mg of PREDS with 15mg once a week with Methotrexate add to that a couple of blood thinners and a couple of heart protecting tabs. I see my rheumatologist next month with a view to reduce even further.

So all things considered I'm doing ok except (There's always an except which, well you've got to except I suppose), anyway exercise, walking, running cycling, swimming when done gently, as in not pushing the body too much, everything seems tickety boo. Its just whenI push the limits I seem to get a lot of liquid coming from the stomach area, not much or very little pain just lots of fluid which is clear and this stops me exercising, it seems to last a few minutes, when the stomach settles down I can carry on with the exercise. I know that pushing myself can be counter productive but it seems not to interfere with the PMR. And as the old saying says use it or lose it. So thats the question anybody else suffer from this ???

On a final note the mighty burnley are playing some fantastic football, just saying.

And remember life is like a mirror, if you frown at it, it frowns back, if you smile it returns the greeting.

Great, lively post. I am not sure what you mean by “ a lot of fluid coming from the stomach area” when you exercise.

Good morning mrs. It’s like when your mouth waters when you eat something bitter but this is excessive last a good couple of minutes

I am wondering about acid reflux. What does your doctor think?

Not seen home yet that’s next weeks task I think it’s probably acid reflux as you say it’s just ( sooty if you’ve not had your brekky) the amount of fluid combined with the what feels to be like the upper part of the stomach. It literally flows out

Acid Reflux...............try this:

Unwaxed lemon, on minute in microwave (gives three times more juice)

squeeze lemon, divide juice into 3 and take with water, 3 times per day.

How unpleasant for you. This needs specialist attention and a referral to a Gastroenterologist , in my humble opinion.

Runners do seem to suffer from reflux.

Does sound like acid reflux. I get it from my blood thinner. I am on omeprozale which helps. But I also pop a Tums when I take the blood thinner at night. Not sure why exercising is triggering it though.
