Pain in toes.

Good morning. Wonder if anyone can help . I'm sure I remember reading a post from someone who complained of sharp pains in their toes at night ! ( or did I dream this ?) over the past few nights I've been getting really sharp stabbing pains in my feet mainly on the top and radiating down to the middle toe. It's a very sharp stabbing pain that lasts about 2 seconds and happens about every minute or so. Anyone else get this ? I'm not doing anything different (at least I don't think I am ) drive myself potty trying to think what is different though. Also muscle cramps in legs and tingling.

Thank you Ex💐

Emilytom, you may find a magnesium supplement will help. Muscle cramps in legs are a sign of magnesium deficiency and many people find that the supplement helps. Potassium deficiency could also be the culprit, and that, too, can be checked via a simple blood test.

Hi, I suffer with PMR and GCA as well as peripheral neuropathy, I too get stabbing pains, on the worst occasion they lasted for just over 24 hours. I am now trying Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vit B complex in addition to coconut oil massage, too early to say yet if it's effective but the reviews look positive. Good luck.

I find a low dose of epsom salts 1 gram in half glass water at night helps. Exceeding this can have a laxative effect.

My gp advised me to drink some tonic water in evening to stop leg cramp. It contains quinine. I enjoy the taste but it would be much better with some gin hehehe.
