Is it possible to be medically retired if you have seronegative arthritis and trigeminal neuralgia?

It will all depend on how much the arthritis or TGN is affecting you in your ability to do your job. And on the employer, many will fight tooth and nail to avoid granting medical retirement.

However, this is probably not the best place to ask because we don't have an inflammatory arthritis - we have an autoimmune vasculitis causing polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis. One or two have been able to get medical retirement but it isn't the same illness so won;t be able to speak for your situation.

As PMRpro has said depends on severity. Not sure what country you reside in, but that may well make a difference..

You might a get more replies on a forum that has more experience of the illness - like NRAS
