Hello to you all . I am newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and am due to start methotrexate in a couple of days. I am a vegetarian and take an omega 3 supplement. Will it be a problem taking the omega 3 supplement and methotrexate? Any advice much appreciated and thanks.

hi
Although quite a few on here are on MTX, you’d probably be better asking question on the NRAS forum

Seems OK according to this article from RA,net which I'm sure you will be interested in

and another:
I'm also vegetarian and take a small amount of Omega 3 - not the mega dose they advise on the jar - but I don't think I started until after I stopped MTX. It's hard to see how it could be a problem, seeing as Omega 3 is present in fish oil, and nobody tell me to keep off the fish. I also eat walnuts as a backup (and because they're nicer, and lower carb, than biscuits)
