I read on a different site where ultimate omega oil really helps fatigue. Has anyone used this and does it work. I'm to the point I would drive hours for a bottle of something that would help this fatigue. this is miserable........

Hi pwalker801, I take (what I believe is a high quality) Omega-3 with Vitamin D3 product from, Mannatech. It gets delivered to my home along with a Pro-Biotic. I'm not sure it helps with fatigue, as I am not sure ANYTHING really helps with the fatigue. I feel better knowing I am taking it, have taken it for years now, and have read some good things about Omega-3 in general. As for fatigue... no clue! Good luck and feel better soon!

I wouldn't claim it did. My rheumy suggested trying it as it is said to help reduce blood lipid levels (cholesterol etc) - don't know about that as I haven't had the levels checked but it didn't help the fatigue at all.

The only thing that manages the fatigue is pacing and resting appropriately:

I'd suggest driving hours for a bottle of something would just ADD to your fatigue!

It can’t hurt and if you are lacking in a nutrient I think you really feel it when you take it.

I took Potassium once and felt giddy high but PMRPro told me that we shouldn’t take Potassium with our conditions, so I don’t.

I find that a strict regular nap makes my fatigue less noticeable. Don’t try and power through.

Oh No! My GP has prescribed me potassium supplements a few weeks ago as it became increasingly low - I have been taking them religiously twice daily! What effect do they have on us. ? I have had irregular heartbeat and raised diastolic BP last week or so - could the potassium be responsible?? Xx

I am sorry I can’t remember but it was a good enough reason to make me stop. If PMRPro sees this she might remind us. I’ve got An awful feeling it might have been BP related or heart function.

You should take potassium supplements when prescribed for low levels - but you should also be having your blood levels checked regularly. Both low and high potassium can cause problems - and yes, arrythmia (irregular heart beat) is one of them. Not sure about raised diastolic BP.

Get your potassium level checked asap.

Unfortunately I doubt that anything really helps with the type of fatigue we talk about.

As PMRpro says it’s a matter of pacing yourself and taking time out to rest when you can!
