What I thought were standard cold symptoms - sore throat, runny nose and congestion - have turned out to be Covid. This is Day 2 and I don't feel too bad. I took a Snip last night and again this afternoon. It certainly helps but I seem to remember reading that you had to be careful taking this type of OTC remedy while on steroids. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have just tested positive for Covid. Currently on 7.5mg prednisolone. Is it OK to take Snip twice a day or should I increase my dosage?
is the active ingredient acetaminophen - otherwise know in UK as paracetamol?
If so, it’s okay to take with Pred, but not other otc cold/flu preparations where might overdose.
Thanks for replying so quickly. Yes, the active ingredient is paracetamol 325mg + Pseudoephedrine 15mg (which I understand is under investigation according to today's news), + chlorphenamine maleate 1mg.
It sounds like something we get here under a different name, although phenylephrine not pseudoephedrine, and I've taken it on occasion, usually because it has tiny doses of antihistamine and decongestant which work for me, and usual separate doses make me shaky. Never crossed my mind to worry about pred! I appear to have survived.
I dont know what a snip is, but I have just had a cold and sinusitis and looked into the over the counter meds. Apparently pseudoephedrine and phenlephrine are different. Long list of things pseud is not suitable for, I can't remember whether there was a link for steroids but it definitely said not for glaucoma. Perhaps use Dr Google if your meds have pseud in them. Phen seems ok.
If you google Snip it tells you
