Took 80 mg last night AND 5 hours earlier than usual 60 mg dose. Pain much better than yesterday. I believe you're right abt dosage. I'm short on mg & unable to fully catch up on inflammation. May be good DR's but follow/coordination is poor at my expense. I'll call today & discuss doseage ( using finesse to not damage egos). If "no" to increase I will keep increase for few days anyway. Need to work harder on emot/cognitive effects of pref so I can rationally carry out plan. I'm well aware all these dx put together aren't a great picture. Wt loss & dysphagia also has to be concurrently addressed. Remind myself how every kid needs their mom/gma for as long as possible. So for the moment at least the little warrior is back.❤

There is a difference in how you feel.on the right dosage spanky, it comes through your messages. Head/eye pain better equals feeling better. The pred can come down once it's all controlled. Sending positive thoughts re discussion with Dr and that you are on the up.

And the osteoporosis? Those are low t-scores however you look at it (z-scores are pretty meaningless). Spine I wouldn't be bothered about - but those femurs are asking for some TLC.

Yes, building my sauna, peeling logs is going to have to be relegated to someone else. Will miss building things. Primary Dr appt Friday what I can do abt osteo & wt loss needs critical plan. Think rheumy said he was sending stronger vit d rx & maybe Ca rx. Can't remember I was kind of bonkers yesterday. I need to check at pharmacy today. Thank you. Need to learn abt osteo.

If you build a model while you are in the initial phase of GCA, maybe someone else can do the heavier work later to your specifications.

You can get hip protectors which would probably allow you to still do some things.

Didn't know that. Could check into that maybe when I feel better, but probably I should do something else. I used to draw/ paint. That might be more suitable now that I know I'm a senior. Lol Hoping your day is pain free & sunny.

If you haven’t already done so. Put My Osteoporosis Journey into the search box to get Heron’s great post. 🌸

Thank you. Getting excited to read & research different facets to get healthier. I don't anticipate it to be a "yes" to every rx prescribed. By this age at least many of us have learned that we are the ones who will live with consequences of medical interventions.
