Raising the kitchen!!

Well only 11 days in and here I am standing in the kitchen at 3.30 am wagon wheel in one hand and bread in the other!! I need to be strict with myself but as I have been able to eat what I want for 55 years with no weight gain and having a great love of chocolate I am not sure how this is going to work out! I suppose husband and kids can always roll me to places in future.

Know that feeling as I’m currently fighting the urge to eat at this moment 🤦‍♀️

It almost doesn't seem so "bad" when you do it in the middle of the night. Afterall you are using all those extra calories not being asleep!

I did put on a stone while taking Pred.,l lost it recently after being on a low dose.l have never given up chocolate or cake, unfortunately l have had to increase my Pred .,dose and am putting on weight again,it was nice to feel slimmer but l am not very good at denying myself a small amount of chocolate each day,so l should treat yourself sometimes ,perhaps with smaller amounts,or become a bit more rounded and hope to lose the extra weight later ! Good Luck .

Sorry - but I have to be the downer as usual. Far more concerning than the possibility of weight gain is the risk of developing steroid-induced diabetes. And that is closely related to the quantity of carbs and sugar you eat.

But if one eats at night, the carbs can't find you in the dark.....it's like buying cakes at charity events, they don't have calories in them because they are good deed cakes. And broken biscuits don't have any calories as they have leaked out 🤣 With my logic no wonder I'm struggling to lose weight 🤔

Fake news...

Oh but the news is nicer than possible diabetes. The carrots do not have the same appeal

Carrot cake maybe?

Noooooo it can't be, my vicar told me at the gala when I bought up large at the home baking stall

My theory is that broken cookies and crackers and chips have no calories, you can eat all you want of the crumbs and fragments. 😈

Oh totally!!

My husband has read all the messages and has decided I obviously can’t be trusted to not eat garbage so has said he is moving everything I like and locking it away!!! Noooooooo

Gosh doesn't he realise we know where the shops are?

Just been downstairs and he’s actually gone and hidden some of my fave treats, including the choc ices! I have worked out that they are most prob in the chest freezer in our shed where he knows I am unlikely to go to in the middle of the night 80 ft down the garden!! Just got my own back by rather violently shaking him awake to say I can hear things in the garden!! He’s out there now looking around!! Tempted to lock the door but the neighbours will not be impressed. Free to a good home one idiot husband.

Can only agree with PMRpro, but relate to your problem as at the same time as yourself I too was in the kitchen looking for something nice to eat. 😂
