Does anyone use CBD oil, either under the tongue or rub it on your aches and pains?

Hello, others will reply I’m sure; I’ve never used it. However, have you tried searching CBD oil in the search box at the top right of the page? This query comes up regularly and you might get something from reading those posts and replies.

After I posted my inquiry I did a search of CBD oil and found several posts. Thanks for responding. I pushed myself on my walk yesterday and really suffered for it last night!!!! None of the tricks I have learned to get to sleep seemed to work. And the aches and pains were "bothersome"....

I know that feeling. I am prescribed amitryptiline for fibromyalgia and have found it helps PMR muscle soreness. I still rub them as firmly as possible to try and confuse nerves/brain and it helps.

I use a CBD cream bought in a hospital gift shop, (I live in California💕), and it does help with my aches and pains. Have not tried the oil, but have been wanting to try some mild cannabis for anxiety caused by pred and PRM/GCA, just haven’t braved the dispensaries yet.

The edibles might suit you if they are good at controlling dosage. I would presume that profit line would mean dose would be lower than higher. If I was in California it's something I would try for definite. It helped fibro but I can't afford it and of course illegal in UK. 😜

Yes they are regulated pretty strictly.

Hi. Yes I bought some from Holland & Barrett when it was on offer.

It seems to work for me. I don't use it all the time but some days I ache a bit more if I've overdone itor I get hip pain . I think that's bursitis , anyway three drops under the tongue. Hope it works for you. :)

Any insights into what strength, what % . Last time I was in the small health food/bulk natural food store I saw a sign that said "we now have CBD oil" I didn't inquire at the time.

Hi. It's 2.5% or 5%. 100% natural canibiloid oil. I also took amitriptyline to help me sleep. Didn't suit me and didn't help me sleep.

Hi Kcartney103

Sorry can't answer re your CBD oil query but re your sleeplessness, same as Poopadoop, I used Amitriptyline 10mg before bed, worked well when I needed it.

I've tried the liquid a coupe of bottles - it very expensive, some of the brands but it didn't work. I've also tried like a balm - that didn't do anything either. Once my Pred came down in dosage the pain was a bad as ever. But we are all different - you might get some relief - some people do. I'm still looking for the "magic" cure. Probably only the real thing would help me!! Not legal I know in UK/Irl !!! ha - but I'd try it if I could get it!!!!

It has such a stigma attached!! I ask myself, philosophically, would I rather up my dose of pred, which is a man made product or use cannabinol which is a natural product😜

I use CBD oil which I find very helpful for fatigue, IBS and arthritis pain. I made my own CBD balm and added some essential oils too like frankincense, black pepper and geranium. I have been able to come off my opiod painkillers too.

Its worth a try in NY humble opinion.

CBD is legal in every state in the USA because it does not contain THC. I think 3 percent THC is allowed. That is what makes people “high.” I have tried tried it several times, even before I was diagnosed, thinking it would help. Some people swear by it but it didn’t do anything for me. I wish it would have!

I am 71 and have never been a Maryjane user--however since this diagnosis I have found that edibles are fine and the balm works really well, esp if you apply after a hot shower. I also use a spray under the tongue for anxiety. This is not to say every day nor even every week but it helps when I get really hurting or overwhelmed. I am in Canada and while not legal, it's readily available. I buy from the dispensaries, not from the street.

Do you need an RX for edibles? I live in Arizona where medical marijuana is legal, but I believe you need a prescription. Do they sell the balm at the same place as you get the edibles?

I use a product for balm called Bare Coconut The edibles I use are jellies--One package is supposed to have 8 pieces and I turn them into 12--Maybe you need a visit to Colorado

I bought some 2.5 strength from Holland and barrett(in the UK)and a couple of drops under the tongue at bedtime seems to relax me. I was a bit sceptical but the last two nights , it has eased me into sleep. Terrible taste though!
