Second Operation

My Rheumatologist is now pushing me to have a second surgery for GCA..have any of you heard of this?

A second biopsy on the Temporal Arteries..sorry..I have been running in circles and getting nowhere for so long..I'm numb from the neck up!

In Southend you can have a temporal ultrasound or a PET scan - both non invasive - to see if you still have GCA - it did show mine was still active.

Not sure I'd call a PET scan non-invasive since it involves contrast! Southend has the ultrasound option because it was part of the TABUL trial.

I'm in the U.S...but this Thursday I go to the vascular Dr...I'll talk to him about this...thankyou
