Since my first period. It was "chocolate"....I didn't know what was wrong with me. Everyone said pain was normal....deal with it....and there's no way I'm was permitted to lay in bed faking for attention. Same month I learned about hypochondria. Took 12 years to have a woman I worked with ask....and tell me it was not normal. She pulled several other women over in our department to validate. Several had endo and really helped walk me through. Tough talk for them....as its often considered private. I was actually going into shock from pain and bleeding....they encouraged and sregthened me for the rough road ahead.
