Pelvic Floor Trainer Devices....any good with a prolapse ?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help with answers for use of these devices while having a prolapse please.

I do my pelvic floor exercise's regularly but I'm never too sure if I'm doing them 100% correctly.

A friend suggested a Kegal Device but I don't know if it's ok to use one with a bladder prolapse.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi SoulSoul. I used a Kegal 8 regularly for several years and found it definitely helped with my uterine prolapse. Eventually, the prolapse became very uncomfortable especially in the afternoon and evening making it difficult to lead an active life. Unfortunately, as I got older (78) the prolapse worsened. I was persuaded by a nurse to try a ring pessary. This has given me a new lease of life. My advice would be to contact Kegal and ask which Kegal device would be the best for your bladder prolapse. I found the advisors to he very helpful. Take a look on their website at kegal.com . They can be contacted on 01482496932. I feel sure you will not be disappointed. I wish you the very best and I hope 2025 brings you good health.

Best to see a pelvic floor specialist physio before trying and devices, I personally was advised not to use one. For me doing Pilates with an instructor trained in pelvic floor and prolapse has been a huge success.
