I have been suffering with pelvic pain for about a year now. About a month after the symptoms first started, I was referred for an ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries. I was told the results were normal and that was it. I wanted to know what the results actually were, but was unable to find them on my NHS account. This week I finally found the results. (They were not in the right place on my account, but that's a different issue.)
It said I have an anteverted uterus, but this was deemed normal as many women are born with a uterus in this position. However, I had an ultrasound 3 years ago of my uterus and it was not anteverted then, which means sometime in the past 3 years it has changed position. I decided to do some research about this, and found that the most common causes of it changing position is pregnancy, surgery, or adhesions/scar tissue from endometriosis. I have never been pregnant and have never had surgery on my pelvis or abdomen. So maybe I have endometriosis or something like that, which is an issue I have brought up with my GP, but they aren't taking me very seriously. Anyway, my question is, has anyone else on here had their uterus change position? Does anyone have pelvic pain caused by an anteverted uterus? (I read that an anteverted uterus can cause pelvic pain in some rare cases.)
The other thing I have noticed in regards to my reproductive system is that my periods have changed. They used to be around 8 to 9 days long, but now they are only 5 days long. Has anyone else experienced a change in their periods with pelvic pain? Does anyone have any idea why this would have happened?
