At a loss, confused at my symptoms

Hello everyone

thank you to whoever reads this and i hope i don't end up writing a novel anyway here goes. 7 years ago i had intense aching on my lower legs which turned into a furnace, gp didn't even look up at me and said "Fibromyalgia" and sent me off with Gabapentin which helped with the burn for a short time, i weaned myself off them as they really did not suit me, i still have the leg pain and when i walk they feel uncoordinated.

About four weeks ago i was going home and had the most strangest sensation hit me and had to stop walking half way, legs almost felt they was giving up and that's when all my troubles started, weak legs, twitching and an awful awful heavy dragging feeling all around my pelvis and hips, feel as though been hit with a mallet on my genitalia and on the most sensitive part a horrible semi aroused feeling that does not go away, i had bleeding from Vagina and went to a Gynecologist who said its Vaginal Atrophy, followed by a Urologist and had a camera inserted into my bladder and i had intense pain, the bladder was clear of infection and nothing sinister thankfully, same as my Vaginal scan, and now have bladder cramping on and off with a dull ache afterward and lower back.

I have told my doctor all of the above, asked for a Mri explaining my concerns and prescribed Antibiotics, i have no infection... im just lost as to what it all may mean, if i go back to my Gp and try to explain possible Pudendal nerve she will just think i have lost the plot and if it is i see so many people paying for their treatment, i just about pay my bills, i am just so confused everybody, i dont have anyone to talk to either , just need a few pointers i guess , sorry for a mixed up essay and a thank you for anyone who takes the time to read and hopefully answer with a few guidelines :)

Thank you so much

Sonya

Where do you live? Why do you suspect your pudendal nerve is the culprit? I’m curious. Have you seen a pelvic physiotherapist?

Hi Konagirl60, thank you for your reply, i do not know if it is Pudendal i had never heard of it until a friend passed comment, making appt for Gp tomorrow and suggest this and a Neurologist.

Thank you again

It sounds like you're dealing with complex symptoms that may involve nerve issues like Pudendal Neuralgia, which can cause pelvic, genital, and bladder pain, along with leg weakness and coordination problems. Since you've had various tests with no clear answers, it might help to consult a neurologist or pain specialist with experience in nerve-related conditions. Pelvic floor therapy could also offer relief. Keep track of your symptoms and consider seeking mental health support to cope with the emotional toll. Keep advocating for yourself—you deserve proper care and answers.

There is a doctor Gareth Greenslade in Bristol who does pudendal nerve blocks. If you get stuck ask your GP for a referral to see him. Good luck.

How’s your progress? Have you had a consult with Dr. Greenslade?

Hi just read your post .. I have the same symptoms. I walk sometimes and I cant wait to get home as my legs feel weak .. I thought it was low blood sugar! Ive had dull aches in my groins and heaviness .. sometimes stabbing pain too. Also in the side of my stomach.

Had a gynae operation a year ago made it worse.. I cant work ss the discomfort is so bad. I cant bend over for long., I feel depressed and just helpless.

Are you any more clearer in a diagnosis?
