New Pain Treatment

Hi Everyone.I have after a long wait been to The Walton Centre. In Liverpool.

I was spoken to by four different Consultants.

They have advised against another Impar Ganglion block

So now I'm taking 25mg Nortriptyline.

Apparently this will help me with the pain messages.

I am only on my first week.

Anyone else taking Nortriptyline ?

I take amitryptiline which is very similar in that it is a pain block. It is very effective for nerve and spasm pain.Like all medications it has side effects like dry mouth and constipation which can be managed. Hope it works for you.

Yes I took Nortryptilan 25mg and it was awful! I have Fibromyalgia and the nerve pain currents kept pinging all through my body on the 10th day

It was very uneasy and painful so I stopped it.

Yes they worked brilliant. I did go up to 70mg, but now completely off. I have my days but im also on 20mg citalpram which is an antidepressant but it really has been life changing and helps me control pain

Good luck to you
