Ablasion therapy?

HiJust wondering if anyone has any experience with ablasion therapy/pulsed radio frequency for Pudendal Nueralgia (i'm not sure if they are the same thing?). I have a pain management appointment coming up in a few days and am considering asking for this treatment but I'm worried it may make it worse. Any info would be much appreciated x

I had pulsed radio frequency for pudendal neuralgia at UCL pain clinic in London about 3 years ago it's where a slightly heated needle is inserted near to pudendal nerve and an electric pulsating current is passed through the needle with the hope it will shock and reset the nerve to reduce the pain. It's only for a couple of minutes or even less (I can't remember)and definitely no where near as bad as it sounds. Unfortunately for me it had no impact on my pain at all. It didn't make me worse or better just a little sore around where the needle was inserted. Everybody is different so this may work for you. For me it was worth a try. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Sorry it didn't work for you, it seems that it really is different for everyone.

Thanks for getting back to me x
