I’ve told my story before a few years ago and still having problems with my levator ani and internal sphincter after having a diverting colostomy which I thought would help my burning but it has made everything 200% worse!!!!! I have tried EVERYTHING that is out there and I do mean EVERYTHING!!! I am getting a pain pump on Monday and this is my last hope!!!!! Having suicidal thoughts has entered my mind but I’m still here!!! My three therapists have been very helpful!!!! I had Botox for a third time into the rectum and sphincter three weeks ago and again it didn’t work! I’m worse once again!!!! The only thing I do is sit on my heating pad all day!!! I’m pretty much housebound!!!!!! If the pain pump doesn’t work I’m out of options!!!! My pain doctor says we have options but I have done EVERYTHING there is!!!!! Just wanted to throw my story out there again and see if somebody has tried something that I haven’t but I doubt it!!!! Anyone who deals with this crap is a saint cuz this is the WORST thing anyone has to deal with!!! No one understands this pain!!!! It is unlike no other!!!!! It is the most awful pain I’ve EVER felt and I’ve had a lot of pain!!!!!!! Keep praying and I hope to hear from u!!!!!

I feel for you. Long story short I had the same. Desperate I had to search fir answers myself. I came across Anthony William the Medical Medium. Google Medical medium pudendal nerve. I am now gluten and dairy free. I take supplements, B12 crucial. You will find all the answers you are looking for by following his advice. It’s not a quick fix but it will be better than anything the conventional medical lot can do for you.

Lib, good news to hear, I followed Med Medium a few years ago, I need to get back into his site to read up on Pudental, thanks for the tip.

Have you read 'A Headache in the Pelvis' by David Wise PhD? Worth reading. It helped me. Don't let the mention of prostatitis put you off...it's a book for both men and women amazon.com/Headache-Pelvis-...

Have you tried steroid shots? I have had a similar problem and the burning was awful. I had the shots last year and get very little if any burning at all.

I feel all of this. Physically and empathetically! I am so glad you have therapists and are seeing a pain clinic. Botox in my pelvic floor made me feel so much worse before I would start to make a turn around. I had to stop because it was sooooo spendy — not just on my wallet — it simply wasn’t doing enough for me to make it worth it. I have done other blocks, in my pudendal nerve, si joints… sometimes they take the edge off. Sometimes… nothing. You are right when you say that what we deal with is some version of hell. It isn’t fair. I really hope the pain med pump helps.

so sorry to hear about this, I know how you feel. I have burning in rectum and pain. Mine is caused by the pudendal nerve, or so I have been told. I’ve also been told it’s my coccyx. I’m in the U.K. and I don’t think enough is known about this. When you are in pain it does give you dark thoughts but try and be optimistic. Talk to your dr about your low thoughts. My best wishes for you

I'm tired of giving this information here. It seems that people don't want to hear it. I will keep repeating it because I know what suffering is. Thus, I have a clear conscience that I continue to do everything in my power. Once again:

Unfortunately I have extensive experience in pain. One of the pains I had was pelvic pain. Believe me, I've tried it all!

The only way that can help us is to look for a physical therapist who works with endocavitary tecar therapy. Here where I live there is one. I leave her facebook facebook.com/JBoaAlma/

In the region where you lives there must also be. Don't lose hope and look. I was also at the end of the line. Look for this solution and you will see that your life will take a turn

Forget at once, the operations, the innovative medications, etc...

Now you know what is TECAR. Search «Dr Google» in your country by a PT who works with endocavitary tecar therapy or call one of the tecar brands and ask for a physical therapist or clinic that treats the pelvic floor. Anything, im here.

I also suffer debilitating pelvic and anal pain with levator ani syndrome.I also have a slow transit colon which makes constipation a daily hell resulting in me having to use transanal irrigation.

I have been fortunate with treatment under the care of a women's specialist physio in conjunction with Botox injections. Injections are very painful to get done but I do get a lessening in painful rectal spasms lasting around 3mths whereby I can sit for longer periods without my donut cushion.

I really do hope you find a combination of therapies that works for you and know that you are not alone in suffering with this terrible condition. Wishing you the very best of good health.

u have everything I do!!!! I use to have to manually evacuate which caused problems!!! I was daignosed with ibs-c in 2012! I thought I had slow transit too!!! Unfortunately Botox hasn’t worked for me!!! I also did a diverting colostomy to help with my burning thinking that with no stool passing through I won’t have burning!!!! Lol. It has been awful!!!!!! My internal sphincter is spasming like crazy and won’t stop the feeling like I need to poop!!!! It is SO uncomfortable and hurts!!! Feel like I have a baseball in my ass!!! The pressure is crazy!!!! My doctor said my sphincter was the tightest he has ever seen!!!! Really!!!! I need a break!!!! I’m going in for my pain pump tomorrow and god help me it HAS to work cuz I can’t handle this!!! I can’t live like this!!! How do u deal with all this? What do u do? It is debilitating and horrific!!!!!! There r NO words to describe this!!!!!! I pray and hope that this gets better cuz this is no life!!!! What else have u done and what do u do for fun? I hope we can keep talking and I only wish u health and happiness!!! Please keep in touch!!!!❤️
