Whole Woman Program

Has anyone gone through the Whole Woman Program? I have stage 3 bladder prolapse. I have been fitted with a pessary that did not fit and will have to go back and try again. I am asking about Whole Woman because her newsletters state that kegel exercise is not good for prolapse and that surgery is not necessary with the Whole Woman program. Her program costs $199 and if it is effective, that's great. I don't want to fork out that much money without some feedback. I would be grateful for any informtion.

I started the WW approach last summer, have also been through one of the online group sessions. I can recommend, I have had some improvements, but still a long way to go, my problem has been many many years coming, and progress is slow and I am ok with that, do not want surgery, that's a strong driving force, plus there are other benefits with this method - basically a return to our natural posture, natural breathing and way of moving. Some women repair very quickly (younger women) others take 1-2 years, and then its a life long commitment - lifestyle changes to maintain, so its a big commitment, but yes I totally believe possible, many women have done it and recovered. It involves changes to walking, sitting, exercising, basically changes to your posture. Our culture does not show us as children growing up the supportive way of using our bodies, there are fundamental flaws in our patterns of movement and sitting that causes common complaints, such as prolapse - that is the basic tenet, I think. I really value the founders regard of the female body and respect for nature, she has done an impressive amount of research over many years, she lives what she teaches, and her insights are remarkable and probably very true - not the first time in western medicine that women have been mis-understood and mistreated because our doctors do not have the belief in the beauty and perfect design of the human body. I did follow my physiotherapists advice to start with, lots of k egels, and condition worsened. PT said my pelvic floor muscles were 5 out 5 to start with. Our bodies are dynamic and constantly changing. We have the potential for change, and healing. Believe in the beauty of the female body, we have an intelligent design to last us our life through.

MissStar, thank you for your response. I was

so confused as to what direction is best. I am sure that I don't want surgery and the alternatives did not sound helpful. The WW program sounds like a good way to go. At the very least it is not intrusive and has respect the nature of the female body. Respect for female nature is not something I have encountered with the medical profession.

WW approach sees our bodies are well designed, problems come from cultural ideas of beauty that we then copy growing up, and our bodies pay the price. Good luck finding healing and good health

My story.....so far, a month ago Shock! Horror! my insides started falling out, I had no other symptoms. Saw GP said it was prolapse, 2 weeks ago consultant confirmed stage 3 Bladder, stage 2 Uterus & stage 1 Rectum, advised my option 1 hysterectomy (removal of Uterus, Cervix & anterior repair 2. Pessary.Decided pessary definitly better than the first option and she inserted it then & there and so far seems to be good.

OK, you've got the gist of it now,

I was determined (after many years of just going along with what the doctor says 'They know best' 😂) so set about my researching and strangly discovered that I knew next to nothing about the female body.....even tho iv had one for 67yrs🤫 Where is my cervix?? Do I need it??

To cut it short (or not?) LOL I came to the conclusion my posture has had a big input into the condition of my body ( why had I not thought about this years ago?) Then I came across The Whole Women & bought the book as wanted to find out best way to move, bend, lift etc. without doing myself more harm, as my head was reeling with all the contradicting info.....Do Kegels. ......Don't do Kegals. ???????

I found a good breathing exercise (not Kegel) which I feel has been very helpful : the origin way. com

I am now being mindfull of my everyday posture & realining it when I find myself in the usual slouch position I have managed to perfect over the years!

Doing excercises from the WW book.

Drinking both Red Raspberry leaf tea & Hibbiscus tea.

Including more prunes & pineapple to our daily fruit intake (helpfull to lessing the strain when you need to go)

I do believe it is worth a try the natural way, (consultant said op has 30% chance of reacuring). Which makes sense in the WW book she says our organs fit nicely & support each other.

I'm not expecting a quick fix even tho I feel I have made improvement in this short time and feel progress will improve even more now I've sort of got my head round this.... a wee bit better. It has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster.

I'm going to have a Good Go at it, anyway what have I got to loose? ............or keep? as the case may be. 😂

🤞Good Luck, Strength & Power to you all going thru this.

Good luck to you as well. I too was amazed at how much I did not know but you can be assured I am working on it. It is likely that this learning process will continue for a long time. The more I read in this forum the more questions come to mind as well as an incredible number of answers. People are generous in their desire to help others. A big thanks to all of you for your generosity of spirit.

I have just purchased the WW first aid for pelvic floor. You mention red raspberry leaf tea and hibbiscus tea. Can you enlighten me please.

I have prolasped uterus and bladder. Have tried pessary but didn’t suit me. I have just purchased the whole women first aid for pelvic floor. I know it was expensive but I really do not want the surgery. I also realise it is not a quick fix. Best of luck in what ever you decide.
