hello, I’m new here, over the past three years I’ve suffered with really extreme period pain , heavy bleeding clotting and pain during sex and after sex, along with bloating, I’m also sensitive to foods which I’ve guessed is ibs, I’ve recently had a surgery but they said I had only scar tissue and that wouldn’t have cause me any pain what so ever and it’s no longer a gyno problem it’s something I just need to deal with, any help or suggestions, I’ve also been mistreated by doctors blaming stis however I’ve tested so many times and so had my boyfriend and it’s all negative, I also had two implants in my arm instead of 1 for three years and I didn’t know so I’m not sure if that’s what caused all of this but I feel so alone and lost at the minute so if anyone can give me advice I’d appreciate it so much

Have you finished having kids if so maybe you could speak to gynecologist about having the lining of your womb lazed away. That might help it did for me. I had it done 10 years ago I still get the monthly feeling but no bleeding.
Where are you from? Could you pay for and see a functional doctor or a Naturopath?
Has your doctor given you Ponstan to take when your periods cause such painful cramps and spasms?
What was the surgery you had? Have they for certain made sure it’s not endometriosis? Adenomyosis?
What implants were in your arm? What was being released into your system?
Don’t give up.
I’m from Cambridgeshire, and I had a laparoscopy and the surgeon I had apparently isn’t very good he told the woman next on the day of the surgert a few years ago she didn’t have endo and she needs to get over it she got a second opinion and ended up having it so I just feel like I don’t trust him, he also was very very rude to me to the point I had to walk out crying and he said he makes loads of women leave here crying! I’m thinking of getting a second opinion but I’ve recently just got sepsis from my surgery so it’s gunna take me a while to be ready to be seen again, also the implants was the nexoplan contraception she put two in instead of 1 so I’m not sure if that’s what caused scar tissue! I’m just not sure but Thankyou, sorry it’s so long I’m just so lost and need people to talk to
i had very heavy periods with clots in my mid to late forties...I'm 62 now. I was tested and had fibroids which my gp said would shrink after menopause.....which they did. I wasnt offered anything when I was pouring blood with clots.... at one stage it caused anemia..... My doctor suggested hysterectomy.... which I didnt want.... but other than that I just put up with it till menopause.... Not very helpful I'm afraid and unfortunately it sounds little has changed. Looking back I can see I was in peri menopause.... the periods were awful though so while I have nothing constructiveto offer I totally get it.
I hadn't read all the posts so didnt realise you are so young. The surgeon sounds awful.... request someone else.... PALS are pretty good at helping with complaints etc
Thankyou! I’ll have a look into that and I’m so sorry you went through all that xx
I also had fibroids (one the size of a honeydew melon) and ended up having a hysterectomy because life was so unbearable and I was bleeding so much it was really difficult to cope. I ended up only getting about two weeks in between periods and they were so painful. You really need to see a gynaecologist. If you are too young to consider a hysterectomy they can still remove fibroids and leave your womb intact, it is called a myomectomy. Good luck.
every single gyno I’ve seen so far have just dismissed me so it’s hard, idk if it’s my area and how the treat people but they all laugh at me, say it’s normal I need to move on from it, I’ve tried everything I possible can the last thing I can do now is go private and hopefully find someone who is actually going to listen to me, but I also am scared of being operated on again because I just had sepsis from my last operation. And I’m so sorry you went through that
It really sounds like you need to get this sorted out. Keep on at the GP’s trying to get a referral to a gynae as they are the experts. All the best.
