Try and self refer to continence clinics at your community NHS or get gp to refer you.
Hope you get to see a specialist practitioner ASAP.
Could ask to be reffered to a pelvic floor unit maybe. Very underfunded and poorly served area of health care.
We need local specialist pelvic floor units as this stuff ruins lives while you wait years for the correct treatments which means you can carry on working etc.
Need to write to mp's to ask for specialist pelvic floor units, one stop shop where all urology, bowel and gynae are treated in a multidisciplinary approach.
I am just messaging you to tell you what helps me. I do the kegels everyday with a kegel8 ultra20 l dont really know if I'm doing them correctly but l hope l am. My suggestion for you if you have any difficulty passing your stools is to have a sachet of macrogol brand names being cosmocol laxido or movicol. I have one sachet with my main meal dissolved in a large glass of water. I also have my feet on a low chair/stool in the bathroom knees should be higher than hips. This helps me tremendously no straining. The sachet just adds water to your poo making it softer and easier to pass. Helps this helps you too
I use an enema as I find it easier that way, also a toilet stool is handy so you don't strain on the toilet. I also have used contam cube pessaries for the last two years. I've just started using the inflatoball and it's much better. I also have just started using the kegel8. I use Stressnomore to buy my supplies.I'm 53 now but I've had countless operations and gynaecological problems since I had my son at 22 and was butchered by a surgeon who gave me a very clumsy hysterectomy, so I'm used to having issues. I was upset to discover a rectocele, but I'd rather try to deal with it at home than see another male gynaecologist.
I know this sounds crude, but I've have more men gawk between my legs, in a clinical setting, than I care to think about. It has given me complex ptsd and a hospital phobia.
