Has anyone here had surgery for pudendal nerve entrapment with Eric Bautrant in France? If so can you tell me how it went
Also any success stories out there with treatment for entrapment? Namely what helped. Suffering so long.

Sorry to hear about your pain and can understand your wish to find out more about Nantes. There are several people who post or have posted here who have had treatment there and the administrator Alaine has recently put up a lot of relevant information about new doctors and procedures. This is available as pinned posts on the homepage of pelvic pain support. And you can also look for further information and experiences using the search button. I hope you can get a step further with this.
Hi. I knew I had entrapment in 2008. I could feel my ischial spine ligaments vice gripping my pudendal nerve. All my pain was in my rectum. I couldn’t sit. I couldn’t lie down so no sleep. I was standing up all day on orthopaedic shoes for over a year!
I emailed Dr. Bautrant in early 2008. I received no response.
I was able to see the best neurologist in Toronto ( after 15 months of excruciating agony ). He carefully assessed me and listened to me. I was referred to a PN specialist in Minnesota.
I was officially diagnosed with pudendal neuropathy in Minnesota in late September 2009. Dr. Stanley Antolak did a nerve block and I sat pain free for almost 24 hours. This proved it was the distal portion of my pudendal nerve.
I left Minnesota with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Back home in Canada my GP was cruel and said she didn’t believe it. She also told me my pain specialist had dropped me!
I was neglected, left polymedicated and sedated for another year! Finally I saw Dr. Antolak for nerve blocks in April 2010.
I had two more nerve blocks in Canada that did not help. They injected the wrong area.
Again I was neglected. I phoned Dr. Antolak on death’s door in Dec 2010. I also hired a registered nurse consultant.
After two more doctors brushed me off in early 2011, the nurse procured my decompression surgery. I had it in November 2011 and it saved my life and spared my sanity.
Doctors were saying I had a nerve imbalance and some sort of bi polar disorder. I was gas lighted from day one.
After two more surgeries I’m 75% better. The burning pain was gone right after the surgery.
